I remember back when I played this on a CRT in 2010 I would download the world record ghosts and watch the replays and see the crazy shortcuts, tricks, and glitches they would do. Especially the Mushroom Gorge one where you climb up the wall and go behind the finish line, that one was really mind blowing. NMeade had the world record on Maple Treeway so I knew about him long before I saw videos on Troy's channel that he was in. There were also those hacked ghosts with impossible times and when you watched the replay they would run into walls everywhere and fall off the track which was hilarious.
