I live in Ohio and always wanted to experience Doak just one time so September 16, 2011 I made the trip down for what would become the loudest game I have ever been to. I travel to watch different teams and the experience I had on September 17, 2011 isn’t one of the greatest experiences I have had, it IS the greatest. Thanks all you rowdy Tallahassee Tomahawks :)

The loudest I ever heard the Doak crowd get was the opening sequence in the 1989 Miami game after Buckley intercepted the ball and Carter took it in for the TD. I also recall the ref during the game trying to get the crowd to quiet down and that only made them boo louder. He even threatened to throw a flag for UC if the crowd didn't quiet down. When Nick Menacof told that to the fans over the loudspeakers, they went nuts.

Specifically, the James Colzie interception of Wuerffel that set up the tying touchdown. One of, if not the loudest moments at Doak ever! I was personally in attendance at ‘89 Miami, ‘90 UF (Dawsey TD), ‘93 ScUM, ‘96 UF, and ‘11 Oklahoma, among others, but still, when Colzie picked off Wuerffel in the 4th quarter in ‘94, the stadium just absolutely exploded! Even so, I’m just nit-picking. Again, great vid, bro. Nole fam for life!!!

While I am certainly a young blood (class of '15). But with the additions to the stadium to increase capacity after our dynastic run of the Bowden era, the stadium had to be louder under Jimbo. That OU game will always standout to me. When we tied the game you couldn't hear the roar of the crowd - you felt it. Only thing that has remotely come close was Kermit Whitefield's Kick Return for a touchdown during that national championship game in the student section. $15 beers were throw in the air without a care, a shoe was thrown (the other came off when we got the the other go ahead TD from KB), strangers were hugging teacher other, it was insanity. However the noise wasn't even remotely close.

He did well at USF, and then at Oregon, he had the injury bug hit him in the worst places. Now that he has talent to come into, he will be fine. He turned what was the 70th rated recruiting class into the #11 in no time. We shall see, but so far, I like what he preaches. We just have to execute.
