Love this! Could You Use Me is my favorite as well. It’s so playful, and both Mickey and Judy’s parts in that number fit so well, especially with the shift to Mickey chasing after Judy unlike previously. The lyrics are superb!

This was wonderful from start to finish, and of course I agree with your No.1 pick, Mickey's suitcases springing open at the end always crack me up! I know the purists would probably shoot me for saying this, but I sure would love to see these movies again in color. Are they out there? ❤❤❤❤😊

There was a very poor colourised version of Babes in Arms done in three 1980s but that's all as far as we know.

Excellent job on video and choices! "Our Love Affair" (1940) and "How About You" (1941) were both nominated for the Academy Award for best original song, but lost to "When You Wish Upon a Star" and "The Last Time I Saw Paris" respectively.

In previous books, I have seen that it was nominated, but I checked, and you are correct. How About You was not nominated. Thank you for correcting. Trolley Song was nominated for Meet Me in St. Louis, but Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas was not. I was a good friend of Hugh Martin, and he mentions me briefly in his biography when I provided young Judy recordings to him. He also met Judy in 1939 and played for her and Mickey at the Capitol theater. Since the Man That Got Away in 1954 and the Far Away Part of Town in 1960 were both nominated for best song, this means Judy had songs from her films nominated in four straight decades (1930's to 1960's). Pretty amazing! I really enjoy what you have been doing with your UTube posts. I have been a Judy fan for 49 years. Keep going!

Another great video! "Girl Crazy" is my favorite Mickey and Judy film. As you mentioned, Judy had become so beautiful and sophisticated that I wonder if she felt that way. I know "Uncle Buzz" didn't help. I've always wanted to know who's bright idea it was to have him direct "Annie Get Your Gun". Very sound and judicious top ten! Strong competition between How About You? and Could You Use Me for top of the list for me. And I probably would have put La Conga higher up. It’s just so catchy and fun!! (And I just adore how they end with “CONGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! BOOM!” It makes me laugh every time. 😂 Keep up the good work! I really enjoy your videos.

I'm not fond of Mickey Rooney, I would like to because I know how much Judy loved him, but he simply doesn't get to my heart. However, I could watch his appearance on the first The Judy Garland Show on a daily basis.. I love their chemistry there, and Judy glows every second.. 💜🌿

Been a huge fan of Judy since I was 15. Mickey & Judy were fabulous. Apart from Gene Kelly, he was her best partner. Absolutely LOVE Drummer Boy.

You do not compare which numbers are the best with Judy & Mickey. Their all classics from the Golden Age of MGM Musicals. Mickey & Mickey were actually teenage favorites in the 40's.
