You can set Distant Horizon to 2048 chunks and up the fog a little bit and it looks amazing.

i actually found the Vulcan Renderer mod a while back and it looks really good and it might become as popular as sodium in the future however im not to fond of its incompatibilities at the moment but i'll be sure to check the curseforge page more in the future for updates and hopefully more mod compatibility.

The Vulcan Renderer if it becomes complete port would prob mean that JellySquid the creator of sodium mod can add Asynchronous Reprojection which will be huge (Asynchronous Reprojection makes the game look smoother at lower fps, linus tech tips has video if you are intrested)

yeah i found it ages ago too, just every time i've tried it with my mod setup (100+ QoL mods) it has crashed, tried it again today and it still crashes, hoping for a future where this doesn't happen.

For people struggling with Distant Horizons, I had to really mess with the settings but it works great on my extremely low end (intel integrated graphics) laptop. Set all quality settings to the lowest. I disable fog and vanilla fog. Set threads to 2. GPU upload speed to 50. Rebuild times to rare. It makes a huge difference.

You should totally check out Valkyrien Skies, it’s a sleeper mod that adds full physics block contraptions similar to the old Archemedies ships mod, for land, sea, and air vehicles made of every block in the game, even modded ones. It’s in beta but I’d love a showcase of it to get some well deserved attention on it.

There's another mod called Hourglass where you can tweak the day night cycle times and it adds in a dynamic sleep mechanic. The sun and moon changes in a quick transition when you lay in the bed and you can have it progress things like crops when sleeping.

I use the Distant Horizons mod with the Amplified Nether, and it looks amazing while preserving Vanilla Minecraft's graphical style. I also use the Better Nether mod to make the Nether look even more amazing.

Great video as always! If I could make a suggestion, I would love to see a video on what you consider great client-side mods that make the game better without giving an unfair advantage on servers. I mostly play MC with friends, but I would love to make the game as smooth and beautiful as possible

Well, I can't list every single client sided mod; but I have around 125 client only mods (some cheaty) that make my game amazing. The best way I found is to go onto modrinth and put tags for, Fabric, Version, and Client-Side. then make a Curseforge profile with them, with shaders and other special things.

I think ReShade and vanilla shaders might be your best bet for shaders with VulkanMod, and also Iris is the mod that gives better shader support.

I like Distant Horizons a lot. My (semi) gaming laptop can handle quite a bit by lowering resolution, but in minecraft that unfortunately doesn't work well so I can only dream of high render distances and/or running shaders smoothly. This mod allows me to enjoy high RD, but the only problem I have with it is that it doesn't have a proper off switch.

You should mention someday better mobGriefing, because you can choose a lot and enable ex. Villagers to still breed, and works just fine with other mods (at least for me)

I often use ParCool instead of WallJump or Enhanced movement because ParCool has a whole lot more then either but still provides the fun of running around your world at what feels like mach ten, despite being still a balanced speed

I use Hourglass instead of Time Control. It can change day and night length and night time can be accelerated based on how many players are sleeping.

We should really have a mod that allows us to play minecraft like an rpg gameeee, like a mod that makes the exp points usefull, like for ex. we can use the exp points to increase our statsor smttt, or like a quest system for villagers and a built map that all mods are mashedddd but fr i would be looking forward to this

Genetic Animals and Realistic horse Genetics are two very amazing mods that are very much under the radar right now! Genetic Animals improves chickens, rabbits, llamas, sheep, cows, pigs, and axolotls & turtles with custom dynamic models. While Realistic horse genetics improves the horses, bringing back the Dr. Zarks nostalgic horse model. As both names suggest, the mods both focus on breeding for the traits you want in your animals and getting improved genetics. They are both very indepth and their discords are very knowledgable places! I highly recommend anyone check them out. Genetic animals currently has 1.19.2 in alpha, but is fully released on 1.18.2. Realistic horse genetics is up to date at 1.19.3!

The vulkan renderer mod is definetly going to be very good and useful and if it can have shaders it will probably become the sodium killer.

It currently has no compatibility with Sodium or Iris, since those rewrite the OpenGL renderer, and the Vulkan Renderer mod rips that out and replaces it with Vulkan
