Every great magic trick consists of 3 parts. The first (Batman Begins) is called The Pledge. The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a man The second part (The Dark Knight) is called The Turn. The magician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something extraordinary. Now you're looking for the secret, but you won't find it, because you're not really looking. You don't really wanna know. You want to be fooled. But you won't clap yet. Because making something disappear isn't enough; you have to bring it back. That's why every magic trick has a third part (The Dark Knight Rises), the hardest part, the part we call The Prestige!!

My favorite moment is always the ending of Dark Knight. Batman's sacrifice to be hated by all of Gotham so Harvey can be a martyr, so all the criminals Harvey prosecuted remained in jail. Batman gave a speech here, even though harvey's martyrdom was a lie, it was a noble lie, the truth about Harvey's descent into madness will make the criminals Harvey locked away be released, the people of Gotham deserve more, they deserve more because having a faith in Harvey, because they believe in Harvey Dent. Gordon's monologue was also awesome. Batman is the hero Gotham deserve, he is pure flawless hero not like Harvey who went mad, but not the one it needs, because Gotham needs a shining hero like Harvey, not Batman. @movienaut8 жыл бұрын
Lets all agree, that if you are doing a Movie, that goes as near as possible to the comic, the Movie is 80 % sure to be fail. There are many examples, where they follows to much of the comic and it wont be good, like Daredevil, Schumachers Batman (of the silver age), Green Lantern. Comics in live action is bad, really bad and we get only chessy characters that are annoying, forgetable and silly. The real challenge for most directors is to do a Movie based of a comic and put on screen and make them believeable and realistic, which Suicide Squad and BvS was not.
@CyfilmsProductions8 жыл бұрын
movienaut It depends how it's made. There were great features of BvS, such as Affleck's Batman which was heavily based on the comics, and in my opinions was far better than Bale's. Realism in a film about a man dressing up as a bat and fighting crime isn't necessary (although Christopher Nolan did it incredibly well)

Darklight It is the best I have ever seen (in my opinion) but predictions about the future are a bit tricky. After the first one, I was hoping they would not make a sequel, although I knew if it made money, they would. I was afraid they would mess it up, as often happens in sequels. Clearly, my fears were unfounded, but that was my prediction, and it was totally wrong. That said, beating it will be extremely difficult.

Batman and the Joker's relationship in The Dark Knight was like an Atheist and a Christian trying to convert one another to their side. The Joker uses logic that Batman can't accept and Batman has faith that the Joker doesn't respect. I find a comparison like this makes their motivations all the more realistic and it lays out their characters very well.
@ethanhair14606 жыл бұрын
Most Atheists are Atheists because of a moral problem with God or because of a lack of knowledge about the subject or because something bad happens to someone they love and they can't accept that God would allow that to happen and they blame God. And the "logic" they use to defend themselves or to refute Christianity is flawed. But yes I agree and like that.
@residentevil29286 жыл бұрын
Cillian Brouder I disagree. It was about the idea of a unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. The equal halves, yin and yang.

@ethanhair14606 жыл бұрын
@John Smith (Most of that "logical reasoning" is flawed because they are biased because don't want there to be a God) But that's what they claim. They aren't gonna go around and announce that they are Atheists because they want to be able to sleep around with a new woman every day of the week while they are married (not saying all Atheists do this). If you look at the actual evidence, most of it actually points to the Christian creation. There is no fossil evidence for macro-evolution (it points to Creation). They just came up with that idea because they observed micro-evolution (like dog breeding, but even then there is an intelligence behind that) The only "evidence" for macro-evolution is the fact that DNA is somewhat similar between us and other things. But it seems to me to be similar because God made a basic DNA structure that works extremely well and used it everywhere. Science doesn't tell us anything, it just presents the facts and scientists make deductions based upon those facts. Take a murder case. Say the murder weapon is found in the back seat of the suspect's car and his fingerprints are on it. And the victims blood is found on some clothing that belongs to the suspect. He had motive. Shoe prints of his size and style are found at the scene of the crime. All of this is just facts. Science doesn't say he is guilty. People make a deduction based upon those facts.
@ethanhair14606 жыл бұрын
@John Smith I've got a question for you. If you don't believe in a higher power then how do you determine what is moral? And don't refer me to a book. Defend yourself and don't hide behind other people.

+Joshua Adesina I agree 100%. It's one of my favourite scenes because it shows Alfred's deep wisdom and insight. He knew before Bruce did that The Joker was not just an ordinary criminal or crime boss. That this wasn't about money, it was all just a twisted game for him. The way he delivered that dialogue and the way it stopped Bruce in his tracks, while screens of his video threat play in the background was eerie and suspenseful. One of the finest pieces of dialog Jonathan Nolan wrote for the trilogy.

Not even a mention of the Ferry Sequence from the Dark Knight? You had the ferries rigged to blow with each boat holding the other's detonator; Batman at odds with Gordon on how to approach the situation (showing how much more Batman understands the Joker than anyone else); Joker posing the hostages as his henchmen and his actual henchmen as the hostages in order to throw off the SWATs, which could have led to some serious civilian and SWAT casualties if not for Batman figuring it out (and taking down a couple of SWAT teams himself, I might add); the people on the ferries, including the convicts, showing that even when "the chips were down," people can rise above the pitfalls inherent to human nature and not "eat each other," as it were; then Batman's final confrontation with the Joker that included Batman refusing to break his one rule, demonstrating himself to be Gotham's true hero (despite his constant persistence that he is not), as well as the haunting manner in which Joker alludes to his helping push Harvey Dent over the edge of insanity.

I understand the scene or predicament was trying to portray the goodness of people, but it was a deeply flawed scene. THE reason why people in this situation would not have touched either detonator, is because they know the Joker is nuts and evil and probably rigged both detonators to blow up both boats either way. Not because of the morality of it.
