Might get some hate for this but I honestly prefer the ‘easier’ maps that have a good balance between on and off-road action because I’m encouraged to use all my trucks and not just the most powerful ones. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the hard maps too but sometimes you just wanna chill. Great list, some tough maps for sure!

SnowRunner has progressed so much over the last years, I recently found an early version of " Spintires" on an old PC and could see their early days. And most maps in SnowRunner" dont even have snow :) I always chuckle when I see non- repairable bridges and very remot locations in this game, yet the economy seems to be great when you see big factories located in the middle of nowhere, where no road truck would ever have a chance of reaching them for supplies :) Sometimes I wish you would do more actual bridge and road building in this game as a form to progress.

Opening the gateway from Urska to Cosmodrome has to be one of the most infuriating/time consuming things in Snowrunner. Like 3 bridges need to be built and you'll need to cross the map with cargo multiple times to do this. And that doesn't consider you have to go into the middle of bumfuck nowhere just to get a trailer to even open the warehouse to get the supplies for all the bridges. I long considered Aegis the worst one but then remembered you don't really have to be there that much. You reminded me how much of a white hell Urska was from the very start
@TawJev10 күн бұрын
There's nothing tougher than Amur; it seems like the roads there were made to screw you over. Some roads make your truck flip over in a ridiculously easy way. Some broken sections of road will almost completely destroy your tires and shock absorbers, no matter how slowly you drive over them.

Damn, suddenly i realized how much i love this game. Hundreds of hours spent but i feel i never really praised it enough although these were hundreds of hours of top-tier experience. Absolutely unique game.
@leemollison75086 күн бұрын
100%, It is like nothing else. It takes a long time to really learn the nuance of different trucks, different tyres, different terrain, how the add-ons and trailers can improve or reduce your capabilities in the different types of terrain. I'm coming up on 1400 hours and still learning and finding new things. Such a great experience.
@mrvwbug442310 күн бұрын
I still say getting the rocket carrier on Northern Aegis is the single hardest contract in Snowrunner. All the stupid "fix this" contracts on Urska are also frustrating

Been playing snowrunner since release and have played the DLCs in the order they came out (which means I had no access to the extremely powerful trucks added later). Imandra was a humbling lesson when it came out but finishing it was satisfying. Amur is simply overwhelming in terms of everything to do in such a difficult terrain, I understand why so many people gave up when it was released. But bit by bit, you chip away from the huge volume until you finish it. Now mind you, to this day I play only US trucks in North American regions and only Ru/Eu trucks in Ru/Eu regions without using the recovery mechanic. Careful planning & identifying the main path (often away from the main road) of each map makes the experience so much better, carefully placing fuel/repair trucks on strategic points helped me drastically too. The only map I don't want to go back to, ever, even "just for fun" is the Northen Aegis Station and for good reason...
@calebjoseph350810 күн бұрын
Don is a pretty sucky region. I was only on it to get the tatras, but those tree and root physics almost had me punching a hole in the wall. I somehow was getting stuck on every breakable tree and it was just suffering. Also found out that i hate the tatras because the just feel too tippy with the portal driveshafts that they have
@velocity3245 күн бұрын
Urska river exerience: bring out all you best trucks, make it 100 feet from the garage, get them all stuck. Really fun map though. That large breakable ice section that you have to cross to go get the 605R was epic. That and lake kovd are really fun. Imandra is just designed to break you.

@FunkyBaconArts10 күн бұрын
Lowlands isn't too bad once you find alternative paths to most locations. For example, from the main exit to the garage I tend to turn right off from the road across the grass and head up to the sawmill to avoid the snow and mud. There's lots of small hills and bumps that can tip you over but nearly any truck should be able to handle it. Behind the garage there's also a nice path through the trees to the upper levels by the house, the climb is steep-ish but you got many trees to winch to if you need it, just gotta drive around the garage going counter-clockwice first or squeeze through the trees behind the fence.
@atk11529 күн бұрын
what made amur and imandra hard is unlike another maps, Amur and Imandra cut off the main transport road, i'm sure another map you can complete hauling with the Highway truck if you know the road of the map. and the north tunnel of lake Kovd part. i just take route along the river then take the little road that near the village. better time saving than just cut through the village path

Great chart, I especially enjoy the fact that Yellowrock is placed that high, most people say Maine is easy for some reason. I would even go a step further and swap it with Northern Aegis, cause Northern Aegis isn't even that hard, it's driving through Urska River to get to it that makes it seem hard. Cosmodrome and Chernokamensk aren't hard at all, so IMO it's just Urska River giving Amur its bad reputation

I think that most difficult map is second from Michigan: 1 You have 1.5 truck when you get there. 2 Your trucks dont have much addons 3 You have no money if shit hits the fan 4 You have no exp with game and most likely no skill to avoid traps 5 Tons of traps for newbie 6 Map is big, every mistake cost a lot of time 7 Almost no shortcuts(beside those trap ones) 8 Its just overall boring to play. You have no chance to be ready for all this as a newbie, and thats a major difference from other maps.

#2 and #1 I just gave up on. I took pride in 100 percent completion of all the maps I did, but those maps frustrated me to a level that I just don’t want to deal with it anymore. Maybe I’ll go back and try to 100 percent complete them, but right now they are both around 45 percent complete and that’s where they will stay. By the way, I take pride in 100 percent completion of maps without the use of any mods whatsoever.
