My most anticipated games (assuming they actually release this year) are Suikoden I & II Remaster, Silksong, and Mina the Hollower. Also, if Ultrakill and Gloomwood get their full releases in 2024 (which is very unlikely), then they'd be high up on the list, too.

The combat system in FF7R isn’t talked about enough imo. It’s so clean and feels so good, while not being limited by stamina gauges like other games so you can constantly attack, but will be punished if you do t at least dodge an attack every now and then

The big one for me has to be Mina the Hollower. It's from the developers of Shovel Knight, so obviously I'm excited for that, but on top of that it looks to be an absolutely incredible blend of the Legend of Zelda Oracle games and Dark Souls. What little we've seen looks legendary, so I can't wait for it to come out sometime this year.

Honestly there's not a lot of big games this year and most of the big ones came out early in the year like FF7 Rebirth, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, and Persona 3 Reload. Nintendo doesn't really have anything planned for this year so far and there aren't a lot of Indies I'm really excited for. I guess this is the year to clear out my backlog.

I'm low-key hoping it releases this year, but also very much understand if it doesn't, is the game Militsioner by Tall Boys. I first heard about it back in 2020 and have been following the dev logs because it's right up my alley. An immersive escape sim where you have to escape from a small Russian town being watched over by an absolutely MASSIVE policeman, and it has voice prompts where you can actually talk to the giant policeman. It sounds cool and every screenshot/video terrifies me, I can't wait and I hope we get a release date this year at the very least

Funny story, the other day when my brother and I got new phones we stopped at a Gamestop and I honestly thought that the upcoming Princess Peach game was out because it was under new. I wanted to get it, only for the worker there to mention it wasn't out yet, someone just made the mistake of putting the several boxes of the game in there and he would fix it lol. That's really the only AAA game I plan on getting. Most games on my list though are indie games, including updates and demos. And most fall within the farming sim and visual novel category.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 seemed like an inevitability that never evitabled, then lo and behold, dreams do come true. I have no idea when it might drop, so wake me up when it does.

My #1 most anticipated game is of course Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, even if I most likely won’t play until I beat Persona 3 Reload, which I’m currently knee-deep in. Though I’m also looking forward to Princess Peach Showtime, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Little Nightmares 3, Unicorn Overlord, and even if it’s an expansion instead of a full-on game, Splatoon 3 Side-Order.

I hear people constantly praising Hades, even on the Toonami game reviews (which got me to try games like Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, Forged In Shadow Torch, and Neon White), but the biggest thorn thats making me hesitant to touch it is the fact that its a roguelike. Some explanation, I have another roguelike called Dead Cells. Ive been consistently stumped at where I'm at and no matter what I try, it just feels like I'm making absolutely no progress, which frustrates the shit out of me. How can I trust Hades, or any other roguelike for that matter, to not cause me similar frustration?

I'm excited for Squadron 42, Sure it's probably not coming out this year seeing as Chriss Roberts likes to be perfectionistic and Mark Hamill got some extra wrinkles he needs to put in last minute but last year we got the news that it's feature complete and polish often takes around a year so a release isn't so werid right now.

Yeah. It's three discs. The disc on the very left when he's talking about FFVII's multiple discs is actually a FFVIII disc. You can see Squall and Rinoa embracing as part of the official logo. Don't know how that error was made, but oh well.
