It's amazing that three of them were chosen from Japan. Unlike other trains, the Mizukaze and the Shiki-shima are power-distributed electric + diesel hybrid trains that can run on a variety of routes because they do not use heavy locomotives.

@@indigoplanet9966 The Indian Pacific along with The Ghan are Australia's two iconic trains. The Indian Pacific spans the breadth of Australia from Sydney to Perth and vise versa, taking 3 days and 3 nights, one way, and The Ghan travels from Sydney to Darwin via Adelaide, South Australia. The dining experience is worth the trip alone. The scenery is truly memorizing and hypnotic. You can even take your car on the train. The off-train excursions along the way are a must.

There seem to be two classifications when it comes to luxury trains: one by the overall experience (including off-train excursions, itinerary and so on), and one based strictly on the interior comfort (probably the best example here is the Orient Express). On this video, I've tried to focus on the interior comfort. I had featured The Ghan in the previous video I made on this topic, but due to some feedback from other viewers and the main focus of this video, it was left outside. I am considering a new release of this video, where I will be focusing more on the overall experience. In the end this seems to be what people will remember over the years.
