Dragonstrike was literally the best fury MH until you got a warglaive or Muramasa (off literally the 2nd to last boss in TBC) or the sunwell trash fist weapon (which was pretty rare). AND YOU GOT DRAGONSTRIKE IN T5! You should have had Dragonstrike on the list instead of Dragonmaw tbh. Also, weird that there's no mention of Arms warriors when talking about Cataclysm's Edge - literally it's your BIS weapon until you down Kil'Jaeden - meaning it's your best weapon for progression period.

Couple of notes: The Night Blade was a boe world drop. I got it in mechanar and it was nerfed in t5 because it outperformed the dagger off vashj. Post nerf it was hot garbage. Regarding dragonmaw/strike, it was the best rogue weapon pre t6 because its dps and proc outperformed t4 and t5 weapons. T6 and season 3 weapons however soundly beat it for rogues. Stormherald was practically legendary strictly for pvp. No smart warrior will ever go swordmaster for pve, because they can just craft skillherald, hit 1850 arena rating and get amazong 1h and 2h swords from arena for pve

Every trash mob raid drop item is good. It is just trash mob and you can reset it everytine you want. Dont push to do raid and get your ID checked if you cant kill majority of the boss. Killing trash mobs for epic item is good thing to kill boring time.

For PVE the 2h blacksmithing sword is better for Arms warriors because sword spec is better than mace spec for raiding. The proc is also insane. The downside is that it is slightly faster than stormhearld, but the proc would make up for that.

As for Stormherald - it was one of the best weapons up until the the Lich King for pvp. Used it on my Tauren warrior with mace spec. Needless to say that my warrior was a stun machine. Most of the times I was playing arenas with my friend who played a shaman back then and this weapon ripped asses like nobody’s business.

Man I remember early bc I was a protest warrior . . . And the unluckiest sob you'll ever see. I had full tier 4 working on t5 . . . And a blue tanking weapon. I tried every day to get the sword out of heroic mech never saw it drop once . . . The entire expenasion. I tried ever week to get the sword out of chess event. . . . Untrue. Thoridal remained BiS until close to level 80 in WotLK. The weapon damage was so high that you needed a WotLK questing bow + WotLK engineering ammo to surpass it.

From a longtime TBC players perspective, this list is very inaccurate. Dragonmaw - Agreed, awesome haste procc. Tier 3 is good until you get glaives. Cataclysms Edge - Highest ilvl 2h pre SWP, that alone doesn't make it special. Torch of the Damned(lower ilvl) even outperforms it statwise for a ret (especially ally ret). Legacy - This was the only T4 2h designed for hunter - does that make it awesome? Not really. Sonic Spear would be a much better choice. It's stats are as good or better on not-hitcapped hunters (and T4 hunters usually aren't) and can be achieved in 5 mans (even nhc, which is kind of crazy). Storm Herald - Really it just is a gimmicky PvP weapon. Some of your points about lower swingtime being better are just wrong, (Seal of Blood. Faster swing means lower dmg proccs but also at a higher quantity, just saying). It really only matters to ally ret due to the function of Seal of Command. Even then, there are as good or better 2h weapons in virtually every single TBC raid, Herald just isn't a good PvE weapon, not even close to a top 10. Should've gone with the forge axes which carry you through 3 tiers and stay BIS for orc furys/enhancers until S3 weapons / SWP fists. Night Blade - Arp Procc pre Arp content, not that useful. In 25s there are already stronger daggers and thats where you begin stacking Arp Debuffs to get the increasing returns. Also Sword rogs are way superior, so this weapon sinks into meaninglessness. Latro's Shifting Sword would be a much better choice, found in 5 mans and stays best offhand for Rogs until Sharraz in BT, which is insane. Naxx Stat sticks - I don't know man. If you have them already - okay. But I don't think you'll want to form a group and farm Naxx on 70 just for the offchance to drop 2 Stat sticks that grant you like 10 spelldmg. Just go Kara, it's easy enough and you'll be going T5. Too much effort for too little effect. Crystal Spire of Karabor - The procc doesn't even get you 1% of your total heal most of the time. Dark Blessing would be a better choice as haste becomes the dominating healing stat the more gear you have and it can be easily obtained in 10man Zul Aman, not even requiring the chest event. That Gavel - No idea what made you pick this. Shadows can use a staff, which you can easily obtain from Kurator (and this will happen way before you reach exalted on any rep if don't fancy brute force grinding rep for no reason). Before that you'll be fine with any blue item for a weapon. Blade of Wizardry on the other hand would be a good top 10 choice, even endgeared T6 casters use it to burst-bomb down Hyjal Trash 3 Tiers later. THAT is a strong weapon. Vindicators Brand - again another weird rep weapon - they all get outclassed so early by Kara gear, they really don't matter. Serpent Spine Longbow - It's good but nothing special - First BT Boss Najentus already drops a better weapon, which is as easy or easier to down than Vashj. A truely special range weapon: Barrel-Blade Longrifle. Due to it's 2.6 swing it is the BiS Survival hunter weapon right up to Toridal! And that while being two-dozen ilvl below the other range weapons. Dropped by Doomwalker, world boss which means you can technically obtain it super early. It's also an insane stat stick on Prot Warriors for the Agi boost + 2 Sockets. Thanks for reading.

The legendary Bow from sunwell is bad for hunters and lowers thier DPS since it generates arrows that dont do extra damage, any other bow you can use with arrows boosing your damage. For most Guilds the legendary bow is reserved for Rouges/Warriors cuse of its stats and not for hunters
