Where are the Eddie Plank + Sherry Magie (sic) T206 cards? Also, the Ty Cobb T206 with the Cobb back should be on this list as well. Finally, that Bill Ripken error from the 1989 Fleer set deserves a spot on this coveted list! (Okay, I'm joking about that last one, but the other three definitely should be here somewhere).

My Dad's father grew up a big Honus Wagner baseball fan and lived in Warren, Ohio. The ball teams back then traveled some to surrounding areas so maybe that was a factor but there were relatives in New Castle PA. I remember my Dad once going through all his Dad's things just at the remote chance of finding a Honus Wagner card in our basement in STL Cards fan from STL.

@lu2353 perhaps yours is a re-print? Check if your card on the rear bottom, it should say the year it was printed. If it says anything other than 1933, its a re-print of the original, and not worth anywhere near as much.

Tristar bought the 1869 card for $75,285 for a baseball card depicting the Cincinnati Red Stockings. Bernice Gallego, 72, initially put the card on eBay for $9.99 after she discovered it in a box acquired during a long-ago estate sale. However, the woman pulled the card from eBay after online inquiries hinted at its true value and she eventually made $64,073 from the sale after the auctioneers took their fee.

Many of those cards are still out there ....in someone's basement or attic....in trunks or in pages of books ....in walls or even under some insulation or floorboards, maybe in an old house being knocked down a few blocks from your house........I can't begin to tell you what I myself have found in dumsters. Good hunting and.......JUST KEEP LOOKING....

Anyone who thinks Honus Wagners' is fake because of the price, it is accurate because Honus did not smoke or chew tobacco products so he told the tobacco company that made it to stop and only a few were made. I also believe this list is wrong because during the making of Eddie Planks' baseball card, the machine broke and few of his cards were released. It's as worth as much as Wagner's though

That counts, there are 9 Hank Aarons in 1974 Topps ranging incondition from $3-$30. The first 6 cards of the set are Hank Aaron, and there are also leader cards with Hank, and a team card. #1 Hank Aaron is the best of the set.

Awesome video. It's kinda hard to list the Top 10 Most Expensive Baseball Cards, since #'s 1-10 would all be different grades of the T206 Honus Wagner. Also, a lot of the reason some of those cards brought such high prices was because they were in freakishly good condition (my god, A SGC 96 1915 Cracker Jack Shoeless Joe? Wow) whereas examples in "regular" condition don't bring anywhere near as much. Still, way cool video.

Forbes says most expensive cards One Wagner rookie card miraculously survived the last century in near-mint condition. Dubbed the "Gretzky Wagner" after it was purchased by the hockey star for $451,000 in 1991, the card sold for $500,000 in 1995, then for $640,000 in 1996, $1.265 million in 2000, $2.35 million in March of 2007 and $2.8 million in September of 2008. Fleischer estimates it would bring $3 million today--and that a comparable Ruth rookie would go for $3 million to $5 million
@agentpaperman14 жыл бұрын
@KardKid1996 You can't say each card is not the right price. It is only a piece of cardboard with some ink on it. Maybe costs 25 cents to create, IF that. Memorabilia and collector's items are only worth what that specific individual wants to pay for it. There is no correct price. There is an estimated price for all collector's items, which is just an estimate, nothing more.

what's your best card? meaning most rare
@why-why-whywhywhy9 жыл бұрын
Well the truth is that I only collect Boston/Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves cards. So my most rare card would be my 1933 Goudey Walter 'Rabbit' Maranville (a Hall of Famer) PSA 3.5. Aside from that, I have the entire 57' Topps Milwaukee Braves Team sst. With my best cards from that set being an ungraded (which by choice, 95% of cards are) Hank Aaron. Although it is damn near perfectly centred & is crease/scratch free, as well. Lastly & also from the 57' set, I have both an E. Mathews & W. Spahn, both graded PSA 7. So as you can see, nothing to earth shattering. Yet, they are simply the cards/sets which I like most. Now it is on to collecting the current day Atlanta Braves HOF'ers & the 95' World Series Champs team set.

+Tee Dee That's awesome. I also am a Braves fan I hail from Greenville SC, so its die hard Braves fans around here. I have nothing that antique but I'm like you and don't place monetary value to my collection of cards. You sound like you have an awesome collection. I do have one great item however, my friend in high school, his grandfather Joe Anders was good friends with the Joe Jackson, and 20 years ago I received as a gift an autographed check signed by Joe Jackson. As you know he couldn't write well. Most all you can make out is the two J's. I have been offered 25 grand but have no desire to sell.

+Jason Philips-Well good to meet you, Jason. As it is not often that I get to meet other Braves fans here in my native Toronto-Ontario, Canada. Especially this year, with my hometown team, the Blue Jays doing so well. ARGH!!! About your 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson item, that sounds like an amazing piece of baseball history. Even more than that though, your friend seems like a very kind person by giving you that as a gift, as well. Don't mean to pry, but what might be some of the vintage or current day Braves memoribilia that you might have? I used to be all about cards (which I still love) but I have started to expand my horizons from just collecting those, as well. Recently buying some old vintage stickers, programs/scorecards, a very cool, vintage looking jacket & of course, my Braves hats. Anyway, gotta scoot. My son's favorite team, the Texas Rangers are on t.v. here right now (playing the Stro's) & it give's us time to spend some father/son time together. A great weekend to you & yours, Sir. As always, GO BRAVES!!! ; )

+Tee Dee That's cool to meet a Braves fan all the way in Toronto Ontario Canada, just goes to show you that the chop can spread anywhere. I think that I have some cool things in my collection. having been to many Braves games I have acquired some personalized memorabilia. I have a signed jersey from Chipper Jones (my favorite player), I have a ball signed by the 2012 team (Bobby Cox last year), autographed cards by Deon Sanders, John Smoltz, Tim Hudson, Mark Lemke and Fred McGriff. I have two foul balls. One from Matt Diaz and one from Ron Gant. I got an autograph ball from Tom Glavine when he was rehabbing at the double A Greenville Braves. My most prized possession however is something my Dad got in 1974. Its a Home run ball by Dale Murphy that he wrestled away from another fan ha ha. I love the Braves man. The 91 92 93 teams were my favorite. I'm 37 years old and have a 15 year old son who is a die hard fan too. I've been to 71 Games in my life and it never gets old. And they need me as a fan because they are 48 and 23 when I have been there lol
