@@brianlarkin8208 really? I'm also 45 I turn 46 later thus year and I loved It as a kid I think we rented the VHS back in the day. Now I don't know it as well as the (1939) classic but it's among my favorites as well. To me as I said it a sequel it always felt like one to me anyway and yes it's more so based off the books than the (1939) classic I dunno how well the (1925) version follows the book. But in case you didn't know Oliver hardy is in that plus frank L. Baum made a handful of silents based off the books some I think are lost sadly but not all of them. If you've got the black box dvd set those are in that. We'll some of them anyways

One to mention is "Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night", released by Filmation. It was part of Filmation's attempt to get into the Big Screen. From what I understand, Disney tried to stop the movie but since it was based on the original story, which is in the Public Domain, and not on the Disney version it was allowed. The main difference between Disney's movie and Filmation's movie is that in Filmation's movie Pinocchio has to struggle to remain a real boy. Concerning the animation, Filmation did a good job with it and showed that they had the potential to do more than in their work for TV. Although the movie is okay and worth a look, there is one scene that is more disturbing than anything in Disney's "Pinocchio." Even as an adult, it is hard to watch that scene.

I prefer "Return to Oz" over the 1939 movie "The Wizard of Oz" since it's more loyal to the works of L. Frank Baum. I also liked "Oz the Great and Powerful" as well and prefer it over "Wicked" since "Oz the Great and Powerful" is also more loyal to the works of L. Frank Baum. I hate the movie "The Wizard of Oz" since it's not true to the book, and I believe that movie should have been a box office bomb. For "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" getting an unofficial sequel, "The Carol Burnett Show" made a sketch called "Snow White: 15 Years Later," which, of course, takes place 15 years after the events of the story occurred. It's really funny, and I highly recommend that people check it out.

I’m kind of disappointed, though that Silence of the Lambs didn’t make the list. I mean if they kept the same cast and crew from Manhunter, I’ve love to see how the film would turn out

Return to Oz is my favorite movie ever and the most faithful adaption of the Oz books, combining books 2 & 3 with elements of the MGM movie. It’s fantastic, a lot of dialogue and visuals is straight from the books, and the music is all 1900 bandstand-style and period orchestration!

With Return to Oz Dorothy is close to the right age and Dorothy actually went to Oz and it was not a dream.

I enjoyed Return to OZ more than I did OZ: The Great And Powerful. While dark in tone, Return to OZ is a fun fantasy film to watch.

Airplane 2 and Trail of the Pink Panther are notable examples of production hell nobody asked for. What about all those Dragonheart sequels ( that weren't actually that bad).

I was always fascinated by the movie Cruel Jaws (a.k.a, Jaws 5: Cruel Jaws), even though I've never seen it. It would make a great movie for a bad movie night, but it's definitely not a oscar-worthy movie.
