When my wife and I started detailing a few years ago you were our authority on everything lol. We learned so much from you and have a flourishing business. We watched the reviews for most of these products from you and we bought them all. We've tried a few other products because it's always best to try for yourself, but I have to say that trying other products was a waste of time honestly. The Gauntlet is incredible. Definitely changed the game for me because I detail in the desert and needed an extra large extra absorbent towel to dry quick before the sun does. The adams polish applicator made dressing tires one of my favorite parts of the car. The mcullough steamer increased quality and decreased the amount of effort we have to put in on the interiors drastically. The Bissel carpet extractor is a very VERY cheap option for adding a kind of pricey service. I have my lilly brush that I use on every single vehicle. This is a very spot on list of very high quality products. I use the honeydew melon chemical guys snowfoam and meguiars hybrid ceramic wax spray. You can actually dilute the VRP and use it on the entire interior of the vehicle. Even leather. It's my go to finish. I love the smooth matte finish it has the perfect amount of shine. The adam's polish buckets are cool and cheap but my local home depot has ones that are colored like the state flag for where I live (Yellow bucket with Red Zia in the middle, New Mexico) And they were a little more expensive but they look cool and I feel like people notice them and like them. Everyone is all about the Zia here lol. Something a lot of beginning detailers don't think about that I've never seen a youtuber talk about is taking a break. Bring a cooler with a lunch in it and some waters. Get one of those nice big keep your drink cold for 2 days nice cups so you don't have to run to the cooler all the time. If at any point in time you feel yourself slowing down or getting impatient with a difficult spot take a step back. Drink some water. Take a bite of a snack. Breathe and look at something other than the car and then come back to it. Seems like common sense, but... I didn't start doing stuff like this until almost 2 years in. I just detailed hungry and didn't care because I was grinding hard. But every once in awhile I would get impatient with a spot and leave it not as good as I could've been. Now it's all about keeping myself hydrated and well fed. I even stretch before hand and do a little breathing exercising because I know I'm about to be stooping and leaning and stuff for hours. My quality of service went up tenfold by paying more attention to myself than the vehicle. Thanks for all of your content. Please never stop. I always support your affiliate links when making purchases and wish you all of the success in the world.

Just shows how much you listen to your followers but also how broad your ideas are. Honestly, who would've thought they could find a video on all of KZbin about products that are cost efficient AND do great jobs? There might be one or two about a specific product, but this video covers a whole range of items. Definitely highlighting your sign off, "TIPS, tricks and techniques". Bravo my man.

I have been detailing cars and motorcycles for about 50 years as a non-professional basis. I've used products from "box" auto parts stores as well as dedicated auto detailing supply stores. I have been most impressed with products from COAT'S AUTO DETAILING SUPPLIES in Fullerton, CA. While restoring a 1930 Harley Davidson from New Zealand,, the tires were brown with dirt and multiple products were unable to get the brown out. I used the COAT'S TIRE CLEANER and the tires were restored to flat black, ready for tire dressing. Once dressed the tires looked NEW! The TIRE CLEANER also restores white walls to white, while other products leave the white walls yellow. The staff are very friendly, professional and generous with samples of their products for you to try. Their prices are very fair. I highly reccommend them.

I recently discovered your channel and your quickly becoming my favorite detailing channel!!! I'm a diy weekend warrior and looking to learn more to up my game. Many channels push products to make money. Im a minimalist and hate needing so much equipment and different products, cleaners, supplies, ect ... Too easy to fall into a rabbit hole always looking for the next best thing. I plea with you to come out with more beginner simplistic videos that you give advice on what minimal equipment and specific methods and supplies you need to improve car detailing 90% better than the average person. I'm trying to create a car care routine that I can implement and use on a regular basis without constantly seeking out new improved methods and products. I'm looking for a tried and true simple quick and effective routine I can use for years to come. I really like the idea of doing a monthly maintenance wash, starting with a wash using a traffic film remover or best method to strip old wax/grease/film, followed by drying (not sure if towel vs leaf blower is faster as I'd prefer using just one method), followed by a wax and grease remover like duplicolor, followed by some type of paint sealant. My thought is to strip all wax each time I wash the car and then just apply a fresh coat of paint sealant after each wash. If I perform this routine 30 days I can have max protection and avoid needing frequent paint corrections. I figured doing a light clay with light polish correction once per year. What's your thoughts on this method and and suggestions would earn a long term new supporter!!!! Thank you!

Ryobi is not as well known as some other brands, but I am familiar with them, and for exactly what I am looking for they offer the best prices. I am going for a full mobile business so all my tools need to be cordless

Thank you Pan for all the great content you put out. I have enjoyed detailing my cars ever since I started driving back in the 1960's. I never realized back in those old days that when I would spend the time waxing my ride and then the next time I washed it with my Mom's dish soap I was stripping the wax back off. LOL. I've come a long way since then. Keep up the great work.

Enjoy the rest of your day and keep up the great work!!!

I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. To answer your question, I don’t clean my tire dressing applicators as that’s their only purpose. I lay them on top of an old microfiber towel after use. If you want to clean them, just soak them overnight in a solution of hot water and a bit of APC in it (3:1 ratio), brush them and rinse them out the next day.

OMG... Super, Super informative. Just started to get educated on ceramics for my newly acquired 2004 Lincoln Town Car Signiture with 94k. She's a gem that I'll own the rest of my life. Third Owner. FANTASTIC condition. Last Fall installed an extraordinary sound system - but I digress.... Paint is immaculate for a 20yr old original paint & Top Coat. - Yes, a couple of scratches, nicks, and a slight, very slight Top Coat blemish on the top corner of the passengers rear door. Not a novice, been cleaning, claybarring, and waxing and Polishing for decades... (funny, no-one mentions using a soft toothbrush). Looking to ceramic coat my first vehicle... Is NexGen ok to use as a spray?

Pan I've been binge watching for 72 hours and excited to get to work on my new 2022 Black Ridgeline. Question: if I go full out on a top to bottom detail and ceramic coating and it ends up ok but not fantastic, is it safe to say, start all over again? Do we use a "stripping shampoo" and start from scratch? So many options, chemicals and solutions. Can be overwhelming! You do great work

Hi Matthew. Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on KZbin as we surpassed 780,000 subscribers and are getting close to 100 million views! I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. Congrats on getting a new vehicle! Always a fun time when we get a new vehicle. To answer your question, I don't know why you wouldn't find it fantastic, as ceramic coatings are way better compared to traditional waxes and sealants. But, if for some reason you didn't like the results, it gets more complicated, as the only way to ensure 100% removal of an existing ceramic coating is by machine polishing. Coatings are meant to be durable and also chemical resistant, so just a stripping shampoo won't put a dent into it. Mechanical abrasion from polishing is needed. Some pro grade coatings sometimes requires water sanding to get them off. They are no joke. How did you discover my channel by the way? Did you watch my ceramic coating application tutorial? Here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaK0iomgraukgZI

Great video Pan! I hope to pick up a few of these products. I’m interested in getting into car detailing mainly on mine and my wife’s cars. Regular maintenance really but want to keep our cars looking new. I have a tendency to dive headfirst into hobbies like this, but feel like I need to be realistic. Then again I see smaller “detail carts” with a pressure washer and various chemicals that are intriguing to me. I did pickup a simple chemical guys kit which features a wash mitt, drying towels, soap, tire cleaner, and all purpose cleaner. I feel like people tend to lean towards certain products and stray away from others which ultimately leaves me confused as to which products I should be using and which I shouldn’t. Any recommendations/input would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats on your new car! Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on KZbin as we surpassed 920,000 subscribers and we have over 120 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. A new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5jSqqV5Ypp2g8U So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: Aston Martin Vantage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXzKkmavj7uHp9E Volvo XC60: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqenc3Wbo82MfKM Tesla Model Y: kzbin.info/www/bejne/naDLnKZurbVohLs Porsche 911 Carrera: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJTOmpysl6ukqZY Audi Q7: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmirdHWJi9OcsK8 BMW M6 Gran Coupe: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp2maqivgL2mbrM BMW M340i: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6W7mX2Elqtje6c Audi RS3: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGWUnnSAm7B3gq8 Golf R: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKOUappqhbx9qc0

Thanks for that feedback Kevin, and more importantly thanks for the trust you place in my opinion. Of course, I share my recommendations based on my experience with the products, and also I work in a controlled environment (garage, perfect temperature and humidity levels), have 25 years of detailing experience, and have the best equipment (best polishers, best pressure washers, water deionizer, best foam cannons, best tools, etc). So my results may vary from someone else's for different reasons. In the end, people need to do their tests, try different things (as I have done all my life) and see what works best for them, in their world, their budget, their experience. And enjoy the detailing process along the way. :) What's your favourite video on my channel so far, by the way?

Another great drying aid that is budget friendly and will last you a very very long time is Ultima Waterless Wash plus. You use this concentrate to make gallons of detail\drying aid spray using distilled water. It leave the car surface slick and hydrophibic with UV protection for your plastics and paint. I use it every time I wash my car as a drying and my 2012 car continues to look pristine here in NY even though I do not go through the rigourous full paint correction process every year (do not have as much time anymore).

I forgot to add, greenworks has a 1500psi and 1600 psi 1.2gpm portable upright pressure washer that is $100 but frequently goes on sale on Amazon for between $65 and $80 on sale, just got to keep your eye on the pricing. It has the standard industry quick connects. I have been using this for 7 years as a replacement to a noisy gas pressure washer and it still going strong. With the money you save you can purchase a foam cannon, and eventually upgrade the hose and get a pistol style pressure wand.

Sorry for such a long question and I would really appreciate an answer or even a link to a video for this specific question I have. Thankyou you are the best really!! You deserve to be the most popular car detailed on KZbin for your amazing content.

Thanks! But I’m confused. You said you have a Meguiar’s foam cannon on order already. You want another one? You could certainly have one for paint, and one for wheels if you wanted.

@@PanTheOrganizer well that is the answer I was looking for. I’m sorry for being so complicated, so I have seen more videos of yours and I have brought a foam pump for my wheels and I have a foam cannon for my paint. Its best to not mix two different products in the same cannon right? Say even if I cleaned it out, it’s better to have a foam pump dedicated to the same product for wheels and a cannon just for a snow foam, rather then using a foam cannon for paint/body and then cleaning it out and using wheel stuff in it.
