Hi there, I just got my 1st car - a white C-HR & because it is 3+ years old & was a lease car before, there are pros & cons in having it. Your channel helped me a lot in cleaning the hard to reach places that are usually taken for granted. It is very satisfying to slowly restore the car as much as possible. It is part of my weekly routine now. Very happy I found your channel.

When my wife and I started detailing a few years ago you were our authority on everything lol. We learned so much from you and have a flourishing business. We watched the reviews for most of these products from you and we bought them all. We've tried a few other products because it's always best to try for yourself, but I have to say that trying other products was a waste of time honestly. The Gauntlet is incredible. Definitely changed the game for me because I detail in the desert and needed an extra large extra absorbent towel to dry quick before the sun does. The adams polish applicator made dressing tires one of my favorite parts of the car. The mcullough steamer increased quality and decreased the amount of effort we have to put in on the interiors drastically. The Bissel carpet extractor is a very VERY cheap option for adding a kind of pricey service. I have my lilly brush that I use on every single vehicle. This is a very spot on list of very high quality products. I use the honeydew melon chemical guys snowfoam and meguiars hybrid ceramic wax spray. You can actually dilute the VRP and use it on the entire interior of the vehicle. Even leather. It's my go to finish. I love the smooth matte finish it has the perfect amount of shine. The adam's polish buckets are cool and cheap but my local home depot has ones that are colored like the state flag for where I live (Yellow bucket with Red Zia in the middle, New Mexico) And they were a little more expensive but they look cool and I feel like people notice them and like them. Everyone is all about the Zia here lol. Something a lot of beginning detailers don't think about that I've never seen a youtuber talk about is taking a break. Bring a cooler with a lunch in it and some waters. Get one of those nice big keep your drink cold for 2 days nice cups so you don't have to run to the cooler all the time. If at any point in time you feel yourself slowing down or getting impatient with a difficult spot take a step back. Drink some water. Take a bite of a snack. Breathe and look at something other than the car and then come back to it. Seems like common sense, but... I didn't start doing stuff like this until almost 2 years in. I just detailed hungry and didn't care because I was grinding hard. But every once in awhile I would get impatient with a spot and leave it not as good as I could've been. Now it's all about keeping myself hydrated and well fed. I even stretch before hand and do a little breathing exercising because I know I'm about to be stooping and leaning and stuff for hours. My quality of service went up tenfold by paying more attention to myself than the vehicle. Thanks for all of your content. Please never stop. I always support your affiliate links when making purchases and wish you all of the success in the world.

I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. To answer your question, I don’t clean my tire dressing applicators as that’s their only purpose. I lay them on top of an old microfiber towel after use. If you want to clean them, just soak them overnight in a solution of hot water and a bit of APC in it (3:1 ratio), brush them and rinse them out the next day.

I recently discovered your channel and your quickly becoming my favorite detailing channel!!! I'm a diy weekend warrior and looking to learn more to up my game. Many channels push products to make money. Im a minimalist and hate needing so much equipment and different products, cleaners, supplies, ect ... Too easy to fall into a rabbit hole always looking for the next best thing. I plea with you to come out with more beginner simplistic videos that you give advice on what minimal equipment and specific methods and supplies you need to improve car detailing 90% better than the average person. I'm trying to create a car care routine that I can implement and use on a regular basis without constantly seeking out new improved methods and products. I'm looking for a tried and true simple quick and effective routine I can use for years to come. I really like the idea of doing a monthly maintenance wash, starting with a wash using a traffic film remover or best method to strip old wax/grease/film, followed by drying (not sure if towel vs leaf blower is faster as I'd prefer using just one method), followed by a wax and grease remover like duplicolor, followed by some type of paint sealant. My thought is to strip all wax each time I wash the car and then just apply a fresh coat of paint sealant after each wash. If I perform this routine 30 days I can have max protection and avoid needing frequent paint corrections. I figured doing a light clay with light polish correction once per year. What's your thoughts on this method and and suggestions would earn a long term new supporter!!!! Thank you!

Great video Pan! I hope to pick up a few of these products. I’m interested in getting into car detailing mainly on mine and my wife’s cars. Regular maintenance really but want to keep our cars looking new. I have a tendency to dive headfirst into hobbies like this, but feel like I need to be realistic. Then again I see smaller “detail carts” with a pressure washer and various chemicals that are intriguing to me. I did pickup a simple chemical guys kit which features a wash mitt, drying towels, soap, tire cleaner, and all purpose cleaner. I feel like people tend to lean towards certain products and stray away from others which ultimately leaves me confused as to which products I should be using and which I shouldn’t. Any recommendations/input would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Pan, As you mentioned make-up brushes, I though my question wouldn't sounds so silly. I'm not a detailer but I want to clean my car myself whenever I can because detailing in my country is too expensive and car washes do not go into detail and can damage your paint over time. I know, because I've worked in one as a teenager. So, have you actually tried using a make-up brush instead of a detailing one? It would be basically free because I can get a used one from my girlfriend. My only concern is that there could me make-up built onto the brush and I'm not sure how to clean the brush itself at 100%. Anyway, great video as always. 10/10!
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
If the brush is new and clean, yes you could use your girlfriend's brush. If it has been used, I would thoroughly clean it using an all-purpose cleaner and rinse it out. I haven't used a makeup brush personally, as I have dedicated detailing brushes.

@pan I have a lot of that piano black trim in my interior around my shifter/cup holders as well as around the navigation system. What do you reccomend to clean all the smudges? Anything available to help prevent all the fingerprints and smudging? Also maybe a product that's also good for the navigation screen? Again, you're the best 👌

1. Meguiars D14301 is a better bang for your buck for a tire/wheel cleaner by the gallon 2. Don't buy the Kirkland MF Towels on Amazon for nearly $1ea - That 36pk is $16-18 at Costco, if you don't have a membership, shoot a friend $20 and have them pick them up for you. 3. Drill Brushes - You can get unbranded kits that have dozens of different brushes and pads for the same price as the "DrillBrush" brand on Amazon, including some decent little foam pads that work great to compound/polish small trim pieces 4. Vacuums - Get a DeWalt. Period. The 9gallon one is frequently on sale at Lowes for $80, and it's easily the best shop vac I've ever used, ProjectFarm agrees. 5. Detail Brushes - Don't spend $15 a brush if you aren't a high-level pro. Just don't. You can find kits with a half dozen different sizes that use soft boars hair bristles for that price.

Great video Pan. One question I have is that once your car is fully polished and waxed, what is the best way to maintain it going forward? If you just wash it again and again, that takes the strip of wax away gradually and in a few weeks, it will be likely gone. Should I use a sealant or some kinda spray wax everytime I wash the car in this case? Thanks
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
You don't polish the car after that, unless needed, meaning if you see lots of swirls and scratches. If you use proper washing and drying methods, you shouldn't need to polish more than once ever other year really. Waxes are different compared to long lasting ceramic coatings, so you will have to reapply a coat of wax every 2 to 3 months. After each wash, you can further boost gloss and slickness by using a quick detailer as a drying aid when towel drying your car.

This was a really cool video! Amazon is very popular and unfortunately have put higher taxes on products. Brake buster is unparalleled and better in a marolex or ik foam pro. ONR and now mckees n914 are my go too. I like the mckees scent and I use it for rinseless, prep, clay lube, and even in a steam cleaner. I've not tried Phoenix yet but I still carry turtlewax seal and shine. A little more expensive but I've been using the adams shampoo and koch chemie gsf lately. I also have the bissell pro extractor and its phenomenal for the price. The McCulloch I have the 1275 was just a little cheaper is all. But essential for care care! Towels the rag company I've had forever, and thank you Pan for recommending Luxury Microfiber! With the marolex I ordered some towels and they're phenomenal!! The one thing I used that's different chemical guys makes a black cherry total interior cleaner, I use the nonsense apc also its diluteable but is odorless and very versatile. Thank you for this video Pan!

When you want to upgrade the wand and gun to a higher end solution, you would probably get a 3.0 orifice like in the kit Obsessed Garage put together here: bit.ly/3wqtnC2 Matt did extensive testing with different nozzles, orifices, etc for all his pressure washers in his store, and the 3.0 gives the best performance and water output (GPM) for that pressure washer.
