Five years ago, when we were in hawaii vacation, we were looking for something special in Honolulu. Upon our search, we stumbled a bakery that sell “malasada”. It was morning, but there was already a line up. We said to ourselves it must be good if customers were already waiting for the fresh morning bake. Ohh yeah, it was a love at first bite. Outside was coated with sugar and inside was soft and warm….so yummy.😋

This video would have been darn useful last August! 😃 In any case, we did manage to go to Highway Inn and Shiroi, both based on your videos. Couldn't get to Helena's. We did get Leonard's malasadas, but from their food trucks, which had shorter lines and shorter wait time. I'm putting this video in my Fav list because we intend to visit Oahu again in a year or two. Here's hoping that all the places in this video will still be around. Oh, a minor request. Will it be possible, in each of your vlogs, to show the rough location of the places you go to on a map. I am still not familiar with where most of these places are on the island based just on the name. Most of the time, I'm watching your vlogs on my TV and am too lazy to run upstairs to grab my laptop or tablet to pull up a map. 😁 Thanks very much, Amanda and Felix! Another great video! - Zeke.

For store locations, i enter store name into Google street maps...VOILA!
@zapperz20002 жыл бұрын
@@harrymiram5562 Yes, that is what I've been doing. However, I typically watch their vlogs while lounging around in the family room and I typically don't have my devices with me, or at least, don't care to use them while I'm chilling out. Having a quick visual idea on where on the island a place is might be useful, certainly to me. I follow a vlog of narrow-boaters in the UK, and they always do a Google Earth map to show where they were at the start of the video. I find that very helpful to put things in context for the rest of their presentation.

Yeah the manapua situation is bad. My #1 go-to was always Libby's. Best steamed manapua with light fluffy bun, and I think they must ground up the char siu filling because there's no chunks of gristle and fat which I really hate. My #2 was Char Hung Sut, but they also closed. So, I haven't had a steamed manapua for a LONG time. Sing Cheong doesn't do it for me...too much bread. Now I only get baked ones from Royal Kitchen. If that place ever closes, we are doomed! Or at least I am.
