1000% Casual fans don't seem to realize how much the surrounding cast and system impacts star players. They just take the results at face value. But if you swap Booker and KD with Tatum and Brown, Boston still wins and Phoenix still gets swept.

Booker is definitely still the best SG. You can argue Mitchell, but not edwards. He benefits from the wolves super stacked squad a lot, great player but not the best at the position. Respect for the Beal ranking. He still an elite player just wasn’t put in position to succeed. 43% from three last season. Vogel did a lot of harm to the suns. Bud should fix it

Kyrie had one poor series in the playoffs in the finals and that was the road games which was 3 of the 5. He played great against the Thunder despite not scoring as much as he normally does.

Probably not much higher. At least not on a list like this or Hoop Venue or Thinking Basketball where they actually watch games. They are already thinking through team/roster situations and trying to make those adjustments The defense is just pretty bad and he doesn't really make others better. But he's still young and improving. But honestly Simons probably isn't better than Colin Sexton.

Booker is still #1. Booker has had a great post-season run, too. Booker is better tham ant at everything exept driving to the basket. Booker averages more rebounds, assist and has a higher fg %than ant and Mitchell

Putting Ant at 1 is reacting far too strongly to one playoff run. He hasn't had a regular season as good as either Booker or Mitchell, not even in the same tier honestly. This is his first postseason getting past the first round, while both Mitchell and Booker have multiple years (and Booker has been to a finals!). Ant is far less dynamic offensively. He is a worse playmaker than those two, is a worse shooter, and is worse off ball, often looking completely disengaged when he doesn't have the ball. Defensively, I think Ant is better than the other two. I think his defense is a little overrated though due to the players surrounding him. I think Ant will be the best shooting guard soon, especially if he improves off ball and he improves his tunnel vision that he sometimes gets.

All of ant’s 5 playoff series in his career have been very good. Dallas was the worst but his first 2 years he rose up in the playoffs but just didn’t have the horses to support him yet.

​@@stundo1hundo I think you mean Minnesota swept Phoenix. Pretty sure they didn't play one-on-one You're right it isn't close though. Mitchell and Booker are much better. Edwards still has some pretty glaring holes in his game but people get caught up in the highlights and potential Edwards' help defense is actively destructive at times and if he faces even decent rim protection you can basically take him out of any series. He's really only good in the right matchup whereas Mitchell and Booker have the tools to beat good defense

I think you have to factor in Shooting, Slashing, Mid-range, and Defense. This makes Jaylen Brown the best SG in the league. He is the best at all of these things combined vs Booker/Ant...

I think you also have to factor in how much of an advantage they generate from the defensive attention they garner. If Ant puts up 25 points per game but gets doubled X% more than another player who scores 30 points per game I think there’s value in that for a team.

Ant is a better guard defender, JB is a better wing defender and off ball defender. Which player are you honestly taking?

How is Mitchell better? Booker has went further in the playoffs. Booker averages more rebounds and assists, and if you look at the last 5 years, Mitchell's fg% is around 45% Booker is 49%

Maybe but they are so close the order is mostly preference. Although I'm not sure what the argument is that Booker isn't mentally tough. He's 28/5/5 on 49/39/90 in 47 playoff games. Going basically 50/40/90 isn't exactly wilting under the pressure. I assume you're mostly basing that opinion on how unsettled he was in games 1-3 against Minnesota?
