Some of it is generational. Jayne was overshadowed by Marilyn Monroe and never reached icon status before dying young so only people living in the 50's and 60's would be familiar with her whereas Mariska's TV presence since the 90's has kept her in front of the rest of us. She hasn't surpassed her parents fame. Let alone, her grandmother, Tippi Hedren. Or her ex stepfather, Antonio Banderas.

About half of these, they didn't exceed their parent's fame. They may have got close to it, but not exceeding it.

Jennifer Aniston is a great actress but Friends has overshadowed her career. And Miley Cyrus should consider herself lucky with Hannah Montana and her song "Flowers". Because her Bangerz era almost destroyed her career.

Kim Kardashian? LMAO!!! Her father was a lawyer not an actor! She's not an "actress". Hollywood just keeps trying to push her on us. She never had any critical acclaimed work 🤣🤣🤣
@RealTalk14117 ай бұрын
@@criminalmindsgirl2936 No one ever said she was an actress but if you think about she did surpass her dad's fame. No one knew who the Kardashians really were until Kim. Only few knew who they were. So she did surpass her dad's fame. Her dad was an attorney but she turned herself into a businesswoman and a socialite. Stop treating Kim Kardashian as if she is some airhead bimbo. She's not. She is actually quite smart and business savvy. She followed in her father's footsteps and became a lawyer herself.

Right, because a sex tape and a popular reality show during it's time made her a successful "actress." Paris never had anything that was critical acclaimed by critics. And since when any of her family member were big time actors? This is a list about ACTORS
@MrEab20107 ай бұрын
her claim to fame is a sex tape and inheriting a sizable chunk of her great-grandfather Conrad Hilton's hotel fortune in a legal settlement. BTW she has the longest Wikipedia page for a non-entity that I've ever seen.

While they may have had that added advantage of their famous parents to get their break what they did after that was on their own merit & talent so calling them nepo babies can only go so far they proved themselves others who want to get their break shouldn’t dwell on that or complain about that & should do everything in their power to get their big break & prove themselves with their talents Johnny Depp did it all on his own merit,talent & by an unexpected accident by a friend Nicholas Cage getting him his break in nightmare on elm street so he can pay his bills & he became one of the most successful actors,performers today!!! I’m sure there are many more who can say the same!! & he enjoyed the work & continued making many movies some blockbusters & some not so much & he does have many talents under his belt like being a great musician & artist!!! So again someone who got a foot into the industry but proved himself by himself!!! Others who want to get their break should admire these people & not tear them down we always will be defined by our parents but that doesn’t mean we can’t be our own people!!!!
