Along with the notes in my “after the hunt” videos, I also have a bunch of notes that I put in sleeves. These are them.

Dude those matched numbers are impressive. That is NOT an easy thing to do. Nice collection of your keepers. I recently posted my video on all my finds over the years. It's amazing how quickly they add up. Anyhow, thanks for sharing!

Hey Stu! The biggest regret of my life is not picking up more Crisp, Uncirculated 1963 One Dollar Bill Star Notes at a local coin shop. The big kicker was that they were consecutive, and I bought two non-consecutive notes from the same strap at only $1.25!!

I love these types of videos because it's exactly what I go through. The only difference is I don't really search bank straps , instead, I work in the gambling industry and go through a lot of cash daily. I have found so many cool notes like yourself but to find matching ones is truly amazing !!!!

After bantering with Stu tonight (it was jolly - and yet I'm still suffering from insomnia! That's where his videos come in handy - keeping me up!), may I be the first to raise my hand and ask when Stu is going to forego the 10 straps of singles - just ONCE - and maybe get... oh, I dunno... two straps of fivers? Or five straps of deuces? Or maybe one strap of tenners, for the same cash he spends weekly? Or maybe save up for a week and show us a strap of 20s?... Or.... you get the picture... ; )

I did do 1000 $5s once. The catch is I don’t save $5 trinaries or quads. I only save rare $5 stars, not every star. Which means after spending hours going through them, it really doesn’t add to my collection. $2s just become a total pain. If you want them, A bank has to order them. They won’t order less than 1000 notes. So now you have $2000 in $2s. Nobody spends $2s. So odds are you will get brand new $2s. It will take under a minute to search because you can just look at the top set of numbers and know what’s in them. Now what? You have to return them. You end up just pissing off tellers and that’s never a good thing. I did a strap of $10s from Vegas which was amazing since they rarely use $10s. And when I did a strap of $20s, I remember that the US Bank branch inside of Meijer had an ATM that was beeping because it was out of $20s. So I ran home and deposited my strap so the teller could reload the machine. It’s fun to be the banks bank!

I have always saved notes with 5-in-a-row. I will certainly keep any quads from now on.

Like I say, I don’t think they are worth anything but I’m pretty sure finding identical serial numbers is worth something!

Those 6 in a row are cool! And the repeaters are as well! That last binary and repeater ...it would take me a bit to "see" that in the wild. Amazed you pick those things out! So the ink smear, I wonder how often that happens and why. Seems like ink could get "gunky" and blob up during start and stops. Okay, those matching numbers are holy cow!! Incredible. Did you buy lotto tickets the same day?

Just the culmination of a lot of hard work. Most of those ink smears are just drops from ink being refilled. At least, that is what would make sense to me.

There is a website called mycurrencycollection.com that lists them. You can type in your note and it tells you the production run size.

Do you ever see any larger small heads in circulation/at the bank?

I have seen large denomination small heads like $100s and $20s. One was in my latest auction. I have a video coming up about 6 small head $100s that came from the bank.

Great video and information. What kind of binder do you use to keep your notes in?

I have 4 binders that are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches just so I don’t damage the notes.
