@alos40255 жыл бұрын
@@dylanbuckskin8995 what do you mean the go see part shows them how it feels to be judged? Lol, they're judged every single week based on their performance by a panel of judges, IN FRONT of the other aspiring models. I'm pretty sure that'll make anyone feel more judged than a go see which they usually only do once during the entire competition. But I agree, I think the show and Tyra (personally), get's some sort of sick pleasure from putting these girls through ridiculous, non realistic photoshoots and "challenges". I have yet to see any big time model do even a quarter of the insane things they make them do. I mean, come on, walking a water runway in a giant bubble? Walking on a conveyor belt in heels, walking in time between two giant swinging pendulums, and the photoshoots? Posing in a butcher shop with dead meat hanging up while in meat bathing suites (before Gaga did this... hmm wonder where she got the idea from), making them up in essentially black face (twice! Come on, Tyra wake up!), a photoshoot wearing dresses made of human hair, in wind tunnels to advertise foundation (um, ok), making them nearly get hypothermia by taking pictures in a freezing cold pool (you couldn't have had it heated?) All in the name of "fashion". And then once these girls finished the show, you never hear about 90% of them ever again. Why? Because they have a portfolio of clownish "high fashion" pictures OR, they just figured that how the show was, was what it was like to be a model, when in reality, it was not even close to being like that.

Setting them up for realistic expectations. I worked as a model and there is so much shady shit that goes on that makes this look like a cakewalk. You're absolutely right. There are some really great people and some who are working to make changes, but there's still a ton of awful people who continue to get away with Terry Richardson-esq abuse with so much as a scratch on their careers. Luckily, freelance models keep groups to expose bad behavior and to keep others up to date on who they should or shouldn't work for, but agencies still have some major issues and refusing to work with a famous photog known to be a predator is a good way to get dumped. I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen a Me Too movement solely dedicated to the modeling and fashion industries. Maybe I missed it?

@rebeccamaracle28784 жыл бұрын
There's a simple question you can ask yourself: Did people from your culture ever kill or enslave millions of people from their culture? If the answer is no, go ahead and show your appreciation. If the answer is yes, you do not get to decide that elements of their culture are suddenly cool or fun and use them without permission. If your people had had their way, those things would have stopped existing. For as long as their people still feel the negative repercussions of your peoples' actions, those things are off limits. It doesn't matter that you weren't directly responsible, it's a show of respect for their struggle.

Tyra did have short hair, not buzz cut short, but it was short, but it is hair, there really is no reason to cry if you can grow it back, like i understand when the girl who wore wigs because of a medical condition and she cried because she was scared about people judging her (she was beautiful btw) but i think the girl crying about her hair was a little over dramatic (even if she does have insecurities) Tyra wanted her to realize she is beautiful even without her long hair, so i don't think Tyra was doing it to be mean or to be a hypocrite, but to teach the girl a lesson and have her inner and outer beauty show, but thats just my opinions and thoughts so
@violettbellerose11736 жыл бұрын
Icy_Panda's_Shadow :D Yeah but if she was so into the "you don't need your hair to be beautiful" why didn't she cut her own? I always see her with medium lenght hair
@smileysett6 жыл бұрын
Violett Bellerose Tyra's signature look is her long hair, because she is famous and not in the compition she doesn't need to change it and she is also known for her personality and she knows her inner beauty, Tyra was also showing the girls that if they really do want to be models they will have to change themselves physically because modeling companies want a certain look for a certain thing and it would be difficult to find jobs if you are just sticking to one look, and that doesn't happen in just the modeling industry it happens many places like music and sports
@violettbellerose11736 жыл бұрын
I thought her signature look were her eyes, because hairstyles are always changing. Take Anniston for example, her signature look was "the Rachel" but she had to change it overtime. Now, usually the looks that are shown in photoshoots use wigs instead of cutting the hair of the model and in runways happens the same (because it's easier to work with long hair than with short hair). I'm not saying cuts never happen, but are not as usual. The makeovers some of these girls have to go through not only messed up with their self esteem but also didn't favor them, which should also be the point. It's like the quote "if it's not broken, don't fix it". Many actors and other famous people do change constantly their hairstyle but not in detriment of their beauty.

Those are quotations. And I think she meant like they don’t seem like caring people if they didn’t go to help.

If I ever fainted in public, I would hope people dial 911 immediately instead of coming to my aid. Because not every one have the medical knowledge or training to provide any help. The help from an untrained person might cause more harm.

The one who cheated, I'm happy it came on tv so she can be ashamed. Her (then) boyfriend deserved a better partner. Cheating is one of the worst thing you can do in my opinion. If you're able to cheat you shouldn't have a relationship, you're not worth that kind of love.

I remember when that episode came on and thinking back on it Tyra if the girl wanted to laugh to not cry who are you to tell her what she can do and how she should react
@issyissy46268 жыл бұрын
True. I would have laughed right in her face while she was yelling at me. Then I would say "Bitch please, you're too funny hahahahaha". lol

I always thought Tyra was too full of herself. She was running a third rate reality show but she acted like she was the noble prize winner of model behavior, then would lose it like a real housewife.

I'm so glad there are other people who feel this way. I was so pissed at her screaming at that girl. I was like wth is she upset about? Everyone expresses themselves differently and if she wanted to laugh then she could. How is she trying to control someone else's emotions. That was so ridiculous to me.
@ariellastrawberry8 жыл бұрын
+amanda ravello I watched it when I was younger so I didn't think anything of it or looking at it I'm like why do you care that she's laughing
@sofiaisabelfontinhadasilva55078 жыл бұрын
It's not just because she laughed when she was leaving, it was because she was treating the competition like a joke when there were a bunch of other girls who actually wanted that opportunity.

you see how most of this came from the earliest Cycles? ANTM has definitely gone down the drain after Cycle 16, which I think is the last traditional Cycle with no quotation titles like "Guys and Girls" "British Invasion" or whatnot. The old ones are the BEST seasons ever.

It is disgraceful that Tyra tells these girls to cut their hair short when she herself was never seen without a long weave or a wig. Tyra is cruel.
