Some of the stuff that made the list after 2001 was the PS1 crying out to be put out its misery. Crazy to think FIFA 2005 the last game came out only weeks before the DS and PSP.

When the PS2 was released the quality and the amount of games for the PS1 decreases noticeably, even though 2000 has been a great year for the console.

Cara, se você quiser e for possível, por gentileza, faça um vídeo com todos os jogos de "Tanque de Guerra" lançados no PS1. Eu nunca vi uma lista desse tipo de jogo, mas, até onde eu sei, existem alguns jogos legais, porém, desconhecidos da maioria. Valeu! 👍

Have zero input on 1994. Have only played one of those games, Ridge Racer, which you put at No. 1. Agree with your pick for 1995. Tekken was great. Was hating your 1996 when I saw the original Tomb Raider being bested by Soul Blade. All was forgiven when you gave Resident Evil the top spot. Amazing game. It's between TR and RE for 1996 in my opinion, both had a huge impact on the industry. 1997 goes to FFVII. Yup. 1998 I'd probably give to RE2, but I'm an RE fanboy, so I would say that. MGS and Tekken were incredible. MGS in particular. Nothing like it before. Deserves to win 1998, tbh. My 1999 would have had Soul Reaver, Driver and Silent Hill fighting for No. 1. Had kind of tuned out from PSX after that point, so can't really have opinion on the rest.

1999 was certainly the most difficult year to make, the amount of excellent games that were left off the list that year is huge.

No Suikoden II for 1998. No Spyro 2 or 3 in 1999 or 2000. While I can see a scenario where you never got a hold on the first game, the lack of presence for the 2nd and 3rd games definitely leaves me to believe that platformers for you rate fairly low compared to other genres like RPG's, Fighting, Stealth, and the occasional Survival Horror.

the years 97-98-99 were clearly the epitome of the PS1, after that you can see the clear downfall in overall quality, and almost no major developer were interested anymore on a aging generation. Did I really care? nope.
