Just use a randomizer if you are playing on emulator and activate trade evolutions to evolve by leveling. Destroying Sinnoh with a Scizor felt so good

I wanted a Hydreigon so badly that I spent hours and hours grinding off Audinos to train it. I ended up with a fully evolved Hydreigon with 252 HP EVs before I stepped foot in the Pokemon League and then proceeded to solo my way through the rest of the game without fainting once lmao.

I remember in Hoenn my team was Sceptile, Blaziken, Salamance,Aggron, and Sproink then was looking for a good water type and decided to use Horsea u should definitely try kingdra its amazing to use its pretty hard to evolve tho ;-;

I used Bisharp on my team in Black 2. Incineroar was my starter in Alola and it was awesome. I've used Hawlucha a few times. I even have a shiny one named Sombra.

Bisharp i finally used on a team recently in White 1 and it was great. Hawlucha I knew I wanted to use immediately when XY came out. Love the luchador inspiration and the unique fighting/flying type. Also flying press is cool

4:28 I suffer from the same problem, although Absol is my favorite pokémon, rarely I got space for it in my team, I always capture it in pokémon games and use it for some time until I get a pokémon with better coverage moves, but in ORAS I finally made it a fixed member in my team because of mega evolution

Hydreigon was actually really cool to use the only thing I remembered about mine was that it had tri-attack due to the 3 heads it had but I gave it lots of dragon type moves like dragon claw dragonbreath and Draco meteor which made it a complete beast (even competed well against my boi reshiram)

I finally got a Gallade in Platinum but it's challenging grinding my entire team and his moveset is really meh. I'm gonna try to get a Weavile too. I've always wanted a Magmortar and Drapion too. Hope to get either one in Sword.

Esteban Maysonet his moveset is not bad. He's got great STAB in Close Combat and Zen Headbutt and good coverage moves in Night slash, Leaf blade, Ice punch, Rock slide, etc. It's just that he is very frail physically and has mediocre speed.

I've actually used all three alolan starters a few times. They're all great, tho my favourite of the bunch is and will always b Rowlet. He's so cute, and after witnessing PurpleRodri use one in Pokemon moon, and seeing how awesome Decidueye looks, it's the starter that has had a real Strong impact on me, and I just love using him in playthroughs. Wish they didn't do ash's rowlet dirty by not evolving him...

In platinum in the moss route next to pastoria there’s a dawn stone and the Ralts come at level 16-18 I think, it’s easy to get Kirlia early since it evolves at level 20 then it becomes gallade once you get the dawn stone. It is underleved at first but there are a ton of trainers on that route and the daily battles at the trophy garden helps a ton. I used gallade in my recent platinum playthrough and it was really useful

I know just to solve your problem with the ice types in Sinnoh and how you can use Gliscor. Use Infernape for one of your play throughs instead of Tortara that way you won’t have to worry about ice as much. After all Infernape is the best starter in the DP games and anime, and it’s pretty obvious it can destroy ice. That way you’d have a Gliscor. Just a suggestion though so you do t have to agree with me.

Empoleon is good in game and is good in competitive and can easily counter ice, but it just comes up short with Infernape. There’s a best starter in each region series(that includes Sinnoh) over on Erizo’s channel so I suggest you go there for more info(just a suggestion though).

I think you should do a few nuzlocke challenges, they force you to use Pokemon you normally wouldn't as well as forge stronger bonds with your Pokemon because you never know when one is gonna get hit by a critical hit.

Disclaimer me Jacob commenting under Nita's account and not nita herself.i remember through my first playthrough of Pokemon Crystal that I got a dratini from the dragons den at level 15 which is absurdly low for that point of the game.so for months I gave playing the main story a long break to grind my dratini up to the level i intended for it to be at then I realize that in a couple more levels it will most likely be a Dragonair and so it does just that but I diddent always save the game when I got off of it so when I was planning of battling silver or something like that I got on it 1day just to realize that my progress had been erased and it was a level 20 dratini again as well as my former Espeon which was a level 25 evee again.my whole entire team.so I regrinded got all of my Pokemon back to their former status again and always saved my game from then on and have always saved on all of my Pokemon games right before getting off since.long story short I beat the main game and completed the main game story and played through the story of the post game went to mount silver battled and got wrecked by red due to all of my Pokemon being on way lower levels then his then I find out that my Dragonair is getting close to evolving and finally evolves on the same night of the day that ash caught his dragonite.and that's it because the next time I tried to go on it my phone I had it on was broke and couldn't work anymore so not only did I not get a chance to rebattle and retry to defeat red but I failed to use my dragonite through the post game story as a Dragonite.

I recenctly used a Togedemaru in a replay of Moon I did, and holy arceus it was a powerhouse. Charged Zing-Zap never failed to knock out whatever it and it may have single handley gave Guzma a fear of Togemaru because of how I swept him with my round boy. Next time you play through Alola, I reccomend picking up this round spiky boy

I sometimes used to do little challenges where whenever I restart my game, I try to use Pokemon I haven't used before. So if I had used a main team that had Absol, Raichu, and Decidueye in Sun and Moon for example, next new game I would use a different Pokemon, and maybe a different team set-up and different times I get a Pokemon. Maybe try doing that? Although, maybe don't use Absol in the original Gen 3, it can't use Dark Types moves well since Dark attacks were special in Gen 3 and Absol has low Sp. Attack.

I always use Gliscor in Sinnoh. Sorry Garchomp, but I fell in love when I realized Gliscor’s stats, dual-typing, and move pool make him a cheat code for Fantina, Maylene, Byron, Volkner, Aaron, Flint, and Lucian. Plus some of Cynthia’s Pokémon, and Ash’s Gliscor from the anime was so fun and enjoyable to watch.

I just rotate my PokeMon during games. When I go to a certain gym I'll try and have a team of types that could take down the leader's PokeMon (Example: If I'm battling a Water type gym, have my team be Grass and Electric types, even if I have a Fire or Water starter, I keep the starter with me no matter what)

Gallade and Incineroar are such awesome Pokemon. I got a chance to use both my personal favorite Pokemon Mega Gallade and Incineroar with Intimidate in Ultra Sun and it was really satisfying to have a team with two Pokemon I enjoy so much. Also, I just really like cats and the Litten is one of my absolute favorites.

If you have another 3DS and a copy of another Gen 7 game, you can trade over either Rowlet or Litten over to the game you are currently playing

The worse thing about Gallade in ORAS is that you Get the Dawn Stone UNTIL you get to Victory Road, and AFTER you fight Wally, While you can just transfer a Dawn Stone from a Different Game, Most of us would just have one 3Ds. Another thing is that There are much more powerful Psychic Types ( like Gardevoir and Alakazam ) than Kirlia, because if you have transferred a Dawn Stone, by then you would have a Gallade, Kirlia is also not powerful and frail as hell, and you will have a hard time keeping Kirlia with a good Physical Psychic move until you Move Relearn.

You really do gotta get rid of those rules. It's fine for the first play through but EVERY SINGLE PLAYTHROUGH you have fire, water, grass, electric, flying, and either dark or fighting. That seriously limits you, especially when you do it more than once

Since you're analyzing the anime leagues, have you ever thought on doing an episode guide for every season of the Pokémon anime? I always wanted to watch it again but only the episodes that are relevant, the ones with the main battles, the evil team, new team members, new recurrent characters, and gym battles, but there is so much "filler" i think that would be a good video to help people that wanna watch the anime again

I found ways to makes these 10 viable: Glaceon: Play Platinum and obtain your Eevee. Keep it as it is, give it good coverage moves (give it Iron Tail) and make sure to evolve it around level 32. Togedemaru: Have a temporary Electric-type until you access Blush Mountain. Be sure to teach it coverage moves, as well. Bisharp: Play X or Y with either Chespin or Fennekin as your starter. Once you get to the sixth gym town, skip the gym and obtain a Pawniard. Then take on the leader of the gym. Gallade: Play Platinum and get a make Ralts. Be sure to use Empoleon to make another Pokémon on the list viable to you. Absol: Play OR or AS using the best team for Hoenn (which uses Absol in it). Kommo-o: Play Sun or Moon using the best team for Alola (which uses Kommo-o in it). Gliscor: Remember the segment with Gallade in it? To make Gliscor a viable team member along with using a Gallade, pick Empoleon and that team can make you check off two of the things on this list. Hydreigon: probably the most random thing on the list: Use Island scan in Sun or Moon and wait for the right day. Obtain Deino and level the thing up to level 50, then to level 64. Do it before taking on the League. Incineroar: Play any Alola game with Litten as your starter. The most simple thing of the list. Hawlucha: Play either X or Y or US/UM with Hawlucha as a viable team member. Play one of the the latter two with the best team for those two games. I hope this helps, LTZ.

Tbh I choose whatever starter suits my team, and it's usually the water type since the water types found on the sea/grass aren't that great so most of the other starters are left out by now

Something I want to do is use the Bounsweet line in a gen 7 play-through. The first time I used Lurantis and the second time I picked Rowlet, so my grass type slot was already filled. Since I actually prefer Popplio, it won't be difficult for me to do that the next time I play.

Zac if you're looking to break some of your rules, how about try another core other than Fire / Water / Grass Cores? You could go with Steel / Fairy / Dragon Cores or Fighting / Dark / Psychic Cores. As for pokemon I'd like to use but haven't yet, I'm with you on Hawlucha!

Tbh Garchomp is one of my all-time favorite Pokemon, but despite that, I’ve never actually used one. That’ll most likely change in the near future though as it is gonna be in the 2nd expansion pass in Sword and Shield. Also just an FYI: I’ve never played any of the gen 4 games and the only other Pokemon games I’ve played were Pokemon White and some of Pokemon Y (which is my cousin’s copy of the game)

oh I had a cousin of mine that traded me a Pawnaird in my Pokemon Y playthrough. But since it was level 35 or higher it will always disobey me and rarely attack. So it was like my version of Ash's Charizard and it was fun for eight year old me to sweep with it but it was annoying that it wouldn't listen to me and loaf around. haha those were simpler times

I've always wanted to use Bisharp and Hydreigon. But you get them far too late in Black and I never even thought of using them in later games until after I beat those games. I'm definitely planning to use Hydreigon in Sword/Shield, but I have no idea when I'll use Bisharp. The closest I'm getting to using Bisharp is using one to beat the Elite 4 again in Ultra Moon, but I'd rather use it for the story in a game rather than just the league.

lol we are really different, i rarely go for geting all "fire,water,grass," my focus are always fighting pokemons and dark pokemons, sometimes i had a ghost/poison here and there. the great thing to me is find fighting with some other elements, or dark with another element like while everybody loooves arcanine to death ,i always loved houndoom
