Top 10 PRETTIEST Towns in OXFORDSHIRE

What are the 10 prettiest towns in the county of Oxfordshire? To determine this, I visited them all. Here's what I found out.
As a disclaimer, this list is neither a social commentary, nor a guide on which are the nicest towns to live, but purely a judgement on the aesthetics of each respective town centre.

I stayed at the crown and cushion in Chipping Norton while walking around the entire county of Oxfordshire and had no idea of its history, wish I'd have known it when I stayed there. But as someone who likes to think they knows Oxfordshire quite well (as mentioned, I did travel the entire county and have visited all but 2 of its towns, Charlbury and Woodstock) this was very informative. Good video.

@Sharon, I was born about a mile from the Cherwell in North Oxford, as little boys my brother and I used to have expeditions across Cutteslowe park, fully provisioned with toffee, to sit on the bank. We pronounced it ‘Charwell’. 🙂 When I grew up a bit, I went to Warwick University which of course is actually in Leamington, which is pronounced Lemmington. 😆

Depends who you ask, not so much the younger folk in my opinion. Myself and many others I know are proud Oxonians (born after the boundary change) and we’ve always lived in the Berkshire affected area. I acknowledge historically it is Berkshire, but I think it’s very dependent on who you ask.

The Oxford - Swindon road bisected Faringdon . The bypass took all through traffic away from the town centre, making Farindon a nice place to visit and shop.

Good to see my home county in video. I was born and raised in the county and still live there. The only break was my time in the Army where I came to appreciate Dorset as well. I think you could have made it 11 and included Banbury. Olease say you are going to do Dorset soon if you haven't already.

Banbury just missed out, as did Witney! Dorset's a stunning county and I plan on doing a video on it at some point, though it could be several months as I haven't got round all of the towns there yet.
