Watching in 2018. Just got this game for my birthday and I’ve found building things (especially paths) to be so frustrating. These tips are so useful! I also really like your Let’s Build series even though I know it’s been on a long break. Thanks for making these!

So much more useful than other building tutorials! I watched about 4 other and three of them is hust talking and talking without planning their video, and thet we're not showing any particular useful thing the game also doesn't show. One of them said advanced and showed me beginner stuff.. SO this one I really likes! I actually learned something new and it was fun to watch!

I actually put this game down for almost a year do to largely the camera and the "mechanic fused to broken ride, they are both stuck forever delete them both and start over" bug. That's why I'm posting a year later, decided to pick this back up to get myself excited for planet zoo, sense I always was more of a fan of zoo tycoon games than coaster ones :D

Hey geekism, I am incredibly thankful for the videos. I am able to build nicer buildings that don't look to terribly awkward now, however I want to learn how to use all the roof pieces because I find myself only being able to use the slanted pieces and corner pieces. There are other "advanced" roof pieces that I still don't understand how to use. I was curious if you wouldn't mind uploading a video on how to use roof pieces. Thanks again mate! Cheers!

Here's a tip you can throw in your next tips video: Did you ever bury an object inside another one, like a smoke machine inside a boiler, and then want to get it out without messing up the positioning of the boiler? Select the boiler, hit x twice to activate rotation, and turn angle snapping ON to 45 degrees. Tip the boiler over 45 degrees, move or change the buried object, and then tip the boiler back to its exact original position.

Speaking of fixing glitches, I guess the group together thing was a glitch or at least a trick that the developers do not want us to use because pressing the group together tool and then left-clicking does not link the items together. At least it doesn't on my Decem ber 2019 version of Planet Coaster.
@marcobuurlage91993 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to line up a non grid item on 90 degrees? If i use the non grid items and i turn them by ctrl x i dont know when the item is lined up 90 degrees. For example if i build a building with grid walls and i want to cover the corners with a wooden non grid pole i dont get the piece 90 degrees on my walls but only turned.

@CityoFun8 жыл бұрын
very useful - thank you for this. can you explain a little, maybe, what does the "use the world axes" button? and why when I select two or more pieces they shange the axes making it unable to use the lock to X anymore cause X is gone a different direction than the wall for example (not sure how to describe better this issue)
@Geekism8 жыл бұрын
the 'world axis' is the x direction of the map. Sort of like a north/south/east/west type thing. No matter which way you turn an item, using the world axis will always have the arrows in the same direction. As for multiple items giving a strange axis, I think the game tries to find the 'middle' of the items and works out an axis from there... unfortunately it sometimes produces a strange result. I'm looking for a fix, if I find one it will be in the next video :)
@CityoFun8 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. BTW, I tried to add you on FB but no answer yet :)

and maybe an idea for a future video, a guide to all the shortcuts in the game. like ctrl x, z to rotate, m to move, z at pathways, duplicate etc. it took me a really long time to find those out and I still discover new things, because of the shitty tutorial. I think such video is really helpfull
@Geekism8 жыл бұрын
I don't think I'll do one with EVERY shortcut in the game, as frankly there are hundreds. But I definately try and share shortcuts where I can. In futre though, check the '?' in the left corner, all of the shortcuts for whatever you are doing at the time are listed there :)
