+This Is C-Money! It's not bad, played on the vita with dual sticks it's cool. It's just that you have to set up every race yourself. The whole story mode is t there, but it's still good for the races. 60fps racing is cool.

Juiced & Juiced 2 are great racing games for both consoles and the psp. You can also exploit the HELL out of that game with your racing crew to win every race, and the customization for your cars is superb.

Nixed Career mode, Most cars are copies of skylines/rx7s/civics/etc, 4 player max per race, no online mode. I love GT series and always purchase one since the 1st game but the PSP version is not the greatest out there, infact for me it's one of the worst GT games. Still a good game, but there are much better choices on PSP.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0. Fantastic game. Very fast and you get a real sense of speed and motion with this one.

Flatout head on is my absolute favourite! You think you play on a small xbox 360, so nice grafics and gameplay. Also: Sega Rally Colin McRae Rally Gran Turismo

Juiced Eliminator os one of my favorite PSP games of all time. The quarter mile drag race is so fun with it's pink slip races. You can actually bet and lose your cars in a quarter mile. So fun...and great to do local WiFi multiplayer with friends.

Great list. Outrun has that universal appeal be because it is so easy to pick up and play. And I always enjoyed the burnout games as well. And of course millions have been entertained by the various versions of riiiiiiiiidge racer! over the many years, going back to the original arcade version

Test Drive Unlimited, you started out your clip in Wai`anae which just so happens to be where my old honda civic ended up after it got stolen in Kailua. Very cool to see familiar sites on Oahu. I loved the racing game Flatout : head on ! So many things to do and a destructible environement ! With burnout, motorstorm and ridge racer, that is the racing game I enjoyed the most (pursuit force 2 was pretty good as well).

That was a great list. I remember spending plenty of train trips back in the day between Burnout Legends, Outrun 2006 & Wipeout Pure in particular :D For suggestions, I'd checkout Gripshift - it's an interesting mix of platformer & racing game - quite a unique one for the time. I got a lot of play out of WRC as well, which was one heck of a Rally racer. Finally, Formula One 06 was *amazing* - they went to town with a really solid simulation there (with enough tweaking to make it playable).

It's funny, I just got a PSP again about a month ago and I've seen a lot of new PSP related videos on YT. Great video! I'm loving all the newly released PSP videos because PSP truly is an amazing console and it's the best handheld I have ever played and sadly is a very underrated and under appreciated console. It's incredible, costs $100, has a huge amount of amazing games and almost all cost $10-15 and under. Great list! I have to add WipEout Pulse and Need For Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0.

I won't complain too much Metal Jesus you are the first person I've seen to put Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition on a top ten list of anything for either the PS2 or PSP and I was very happy to see someone finally give it credit.. I personally don't know why it isn't more popular out of any NFS, Burnout, Gran Turismo or any other racing game I put Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition and Dub Edition Remix above them all by far.. They for me were what got me into racing games I saw my uncle playing it and it looked so nice I love the Customization and the style and any other racing game for me just doesn't do it

Flatout: Ultimate was a very good Burnout-esque racer that made the portable transition well. I'll be playing some of these games though.

Great list, quite a few i still play now in 2018. I've always loved sega rally on the psp. Made by bugbear, i reckon its superior to any of the other sega rally revo games out there. The handling i found to be spot on and drifting around the corners very satisfying.

Ridge Racers 2 on PSP is the definitive version of this game. Its one of my favorite games of all time, top tier Ridge Racer game. The music, the presentation for the time for a handheld, the handling, it's a sublime arcade racer. Maybe not for those who seek a Gran Turismo fix but man if you like games like Outrun or Daytona USA (y'know those kind of games) it's a must have for PSP owners.

Great stuff MJR =D It's worth custom firmware'ing the PSP for anyone interested in playing these, as you can rip the UMDS to a memory stick for easy access (and often much better loading!). Not to mention you can force earlier games to use all of the PSP's 333mhz clock speed to improve frame rate. Doing that makes Wipeout run at 60fps!

I captured the PSP footage using the Elgato Game Capture HD & the Component out cables...which is at 480p..then upscaled in Final Cut Pro X to 720p, which is why it's a little blocky in the video.

If you just want to play ISOs the PSP GO is a solid choice. If you want to play physical games you should go for the PSP-2000 or PSP-3000.
