Did my test this year in Wales and past the first time with 1 minor. The one thing that almost made me fail was when the examiner took me on unfamiliar roads and I nearly drove into a main road when I was supposed to stop and give way (I did not see the sign which was a bit tucked in). Luckily, in my peripheral vision, I saw his right foot moving toward his dual-control brake lever. Then I checked why and in the last 4-5 seconds before reaching the line for the give way sign I saw the give way sign and stopped on time but not abruptly. Then simultaneously I saw the examiner's foot moving away from the foot brake. If I had not stopped, He would've pressed the brakes and I would've failed. That was our last 3 minutes of the test driving back to the test center. The minor was after giving way and entering the main road. It was a slow movement forward due to the early morning rush hour. And when I stopped. I was still anxious after almost failing that give way sign that I did not realize that I was still rolling 1-2 mph and I ended up pulling the hand brake thinking that I was fully stopped with the foot brake to wait for traffic to move on. There was a slight jolt when the car stopped abruptly. 1 minor - use of hand brakes.
