I love the diversity in Canada, out of all things. Yes things like health care and costs are important but where I am from, everyone is white. We are a small place, and generations upon generations have been living off the land of their fore fathers. They expect you to stay. It has its perks, but I almost feel claustrophobic. I know I am going to leave this place, I have been working on my ACT since middle school. I have been studying Japanese for about 3 years, and starting to learn Mandarin. When I took a trip over to Canada with two of my friends, we were amazed. They both want to travel out as much as I. Canada is truly an amazing place and I hope everyone can agree with that.

Nod Lucario Not for the UK. It's a xenophobe's wet dream over here at the moment what with the aftermath of the EU referendum, the news system is leans so far to one side that it's bound to fall over, the currency is currently a laughing stock and we have someone in power we could effectively label Thatcher II. It's no wonder Scotland are gearing for a second whack at the secession pinata, and Northern Ireland isn't far behind.

***** By Holland i mean country (The Netherlands) you moron... I don't even know what Twente has to do with it if you mean the region Holland, but don't try to act smart, even us dutch say Holland (refering to The Netherlands) in english, and it's one of the most contributing, developed and progressive countrys in the world, and not to mention the cleanest and greenest, a land full of culture, history and art, it's very diverse and its crime rate only decreases over the years, don't know if you saw it, but there are prisions in The Netherlands that are being closed because of this lack of crime, criminals of norway are being transfered to their prisons, some prisons even turned into refugees' homes. It has an open and stable economy, it's one of the smallest countrys in Europe and it's in the 20 biggest economies of the world. In conclusion it's a great country to live in, and the people are great, i would certainly recommend it.

As an American who used to visit Canada yearly due to having family there, I can attest to the fact that Canada is a cool ass place. Even thought about moving there once, but the process was too difficult. To me Canada is like an improved version of the US on many fronts. Just a shame it's not in a tropical region, I prefer hot weather.
@grahamcouture67868 жыл бұрын
Carl Mac yes, the weather is probably why we don't have a huge population. I even met a guy who said that it's downright impossible to have a large civilization anywhere farther north than 100 miles from the border, which is obviously not true. Many people like the winter.
@TheTubeMeister7 жыл бұрын
Carl Mac I'm an American. got my permanent resident in 2015. wasn't that difficult. I hired a lawyer to do the paperwork for me. best decision I've ever made was move here. Got away from America. That country is going downhill and fast!

@grahamcouture67867 жыл бұрын
***** that's the problem. I would suggest not going to Alberta or Ontario if you don't want to pay a carbon tax that was recently implemented. If you like mountains, BC is a good place to go. If you like simplicity and agriculture, Saskatchewan is great for you! Quebec is all French so if you don't understand it you will have trouble there. New Brunswick is half French. Newfoundlanders (Newfies) talk really funny it's almost a new language. Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are good if you like living by the ocean. That's a brief summary of the provinces. The three territories are all very similar. Cold, Tundra, but lots of mineable resources.

I'll give you 13 reasons NOT to move to Canada: 1. Canada's weather really sucks for 6 ot 7 months of the year. 2. Canada's new gender ideology has practically turned child abuse into a normal practice and freedom of speech a dangerous practice. 3. Canada restricts the choice of parents when educating their children. 4. There's too much pride for being homosexual and too much promotion of this practice. 5. Feminism in Canada is so radical that it has destroyed all normal interaction and communication between men and women. 6. Real estate and rent prices in Canada are outrageously inflated as if it were France’s Champs-Élysées, Mexico’s Polanco or New York’s Upper East Side. 7. Food prices are generally way too high. 8. There’s too much depression and loneliness in Canada. 9. Family as the unit and foundation of society is being lost at U.S. rates. 10. Taxes are unnecessarily way too high. 11. Canadian Government is often meddling in your private life an criminalizes normal human behavior like just expressing yourself freely. 12. Canada is an outrageously elitist country when it comes to immigration policies as it demands quite a curriculum for prospect immigrant permanent residents and citizenship instead of just normal humans. 13. CONTRADICTORY IMMIGRATION LAWS WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR IMMIGRANTS NOT TO EITHER BREAK THEM OR OVERSTAY. So really, Canada is way overrated, just like Baseball, Harvard University, Harley Davidson, The Mona Lisa, U2, malls, or Star Wars.

Not unless you're native or Inuk, racism and sterotypes towards these 2 races that were already residing in Canada,even before Canada became a country 150 years ago. Being an Inuk, i take pride, but always belittled, i can't go to a jewllery store with out being constanly watched, while this caucasian female slipped something into her purse, and i pay $850.00 for my fiancè's pendant. Then they blame me for the missing item! (True story!) And the RCMP against Natives in Ontario! Im not even going to explain.

+Nanurluk Ok the thing is this..natives sold most of their land for whisky and got ripped off and threatened at that time..Liquor for land after a threat to trade..But nowadays some of the high end expensive land in the S.F.U AND U.B.C University areas are owned and leased by natives to the Professors who teach thr..also half of Stanley park is owned by native Indians..So they still own some of the good land.
@dannygreene55317 жыл бұрын
+Nanurluk Natives also have the highest incarcerated prison rate..Only a small % of population yet 20% Of all inmates are natives..They get free school but most refuse to go..and school is so expensive these days.I don't want to diss native people but I'm stating facts from our corrections criminal justice book..

I don't know why a bunch of fellow Canadians don't want Americans here. Come in come all
@FuzzyBunnyBenny8 жыл бұрын
WOW... I certainly hope you are joking, because if you're not then that is just pathetic! Also, Tyler Boyd, ^this^ is why. I know many great American's who are lovely people, and I know there are many more like them...but there are others... PS: I like how you wrote that "we...HAD a set of ideas..." meaning that you don't hold to those ideals anymore. PPS: I'm assuming you're talking about beating the British Empire...Where you declared independence in 1776; and sure you pushed British rule out of the States...but the Empire still existed for two hundred years after that...officially ending around 1984 (though of course it was in decline long before that). You've certainly got a lot of pride, maybe it's time to work on humility and grace too.

Actually my home town in S Alberta minus this year, and a few others. We only had January that was cold. It is basically semi desert there. Remember many X-masses, being 5c at the lowest. And really only one week in Jan that dropped down below -15. Plus it was the sunshine capital of Canada for long stretches.

Yes, look it up. As a British colony, we had to follow suit. Technically, as soon as the British declared war, Canada was in it too. Some of the great defining moments in Canadian history happened during the two world wars.
