Because the dubs don't do justice to the show. Unless you understand Chinese and the dialects, you will not understand everything. A lot of it cannot be accurately translated into English. I'm just fortunate enough to be Chinese Malaysian so I understand all of it. Lol. My boyfriend is from China and he doesn't understand the Cantonese portions. I cannot imagine watching this show in English, I tried for like 10 minutes and it was terrible. For example, Xiao Fei Ji has 2 meanings, one meaning a plane and is a homophone for another meaning which is Little Fat Chicken. XFJ grabs 7 by the penis. In Chinese, Da Fei Ji literally translated = to hit a plane, but it means to masturbate. It has another homophone/close homophone which means to ride a plane (Da Fei Ji in Mandarin or Da(ap) Fei Gei in Cantonese). All of these, cannot be translated to English in a simplified manner. There are a lot more of such hidden meanings throughout the show. I don't care much for animation but I enjoy the show because I think it was written by a very clever man with a sense of humour.

At first it’s played like a joke “scissor can’t even beat some random middle-aged lady” Then It’s revealed she used to be one of the most powerful people in an elite female martial art group. A detail I like that many might not notice is that the prince of Stan fought with a heavy handicap in season 1. He went in expecting the missile to expose the energy rock and call it a day. The intel he got from the stanian scout droid in the first episode was likely incomplete, so he didn’t know all the fighters who were on the island. He went in assuming he’d be faced with minimal effective resistance. Almost everyone he fought up until 13 and chairman jiang he beat with his most basic countermeasures. It was only until 13, 7 and xiao fei joined the fight that he even put on his basic power armor. It especially stuck out when he said “I’m embarrassed I even have to use this” because he underestimated the island’s fighters so much he had to resort to it. Even then he was only defeated when seven briefly flashed into shadow killer seven. Even though stamians are at war with xuan wu they wouldn’t go into every fight expecting to brawl with one of their seven strongest fighters. The Prince only lost because he didn’t come prepared for a shadow killer level threat, and because seven happened to reach that level briefly. Compare that with the next time we see the Prince fight. Instead of an excavator orb, he comes with his personal transport with a guest (probably seen as a vip) to a country Stan has studied to death (literally). He came expecting the possibility of fighting, so not only does he have “kill mode” which the prince likely didn’t have in season on when he went to the island, he had a superpower disrupter. Knowing all the factors, and preparing accordingly are where the strength of Stan lies, and once again he is only stopped because he wasn’t prepared for Hua who had never even lifted a finger to fight onscreen until then. TLDR, stanians and their prince are not to be messed with, and only lose when they miscalculate
