hell yeah! my friend Matt (we're still homies but we live in separate states, now) handed me ATF at school in 98 when I was 15 and said "dude you gotta check this out." that album was just flawless to me. Terry Date production. just fire. great b-sides from this era. I especially loved the Weezer covers Deftones did as I was (and still am) a huge fan of Weezer. Deftones get a lot of hate these days...they've always gotten a lot of hate tbh, and I think it is BS. one of the most unique and innovative alt-metal acts to ever do it. RIP Chi. Surely Linkin Park must have had a band meeting and said ‘alright everyone this is it, here we go, strap in and get ready!!’. Ok, they have taken the leap now and the flak. Let’s not forget Chester at all but this is not a decision made in haste. The band let enough time pass for them to absorb Chester’s passing and also to allow fans to grieve. I respect them for that. AC/DC carried on far, far sooner and have gone on to achieve legend status. Bon Scott was as iconic a frontman as you can get in my view. Unique, influential and charismatic. Please fans, let the band move on as they want us to move on. There are some who want to claim, own and hold on to a moment in time. Do that, but appreciate it’s not your life to decide. Some of the backlash from trolls has been totally OTT. I loved LP with Chester but I’m glad they’re making new music so good for them. They should not have to justify their own existence. Thank you.
