Kalau zaman dulu2 sungai wang plaza tahun 80.90 hingga 2000 memang top 1, shopping mall dikuala lumpur ,tapi sekarang,tinggal kenangan macam2 shopping datang lebih mega apa2 pun bila la nak berahir covid ni tak sabar nak jalan 2 dah 3 tahun menetap dikampung Hari2 kekebun balik rumah apa2 pun bersyukur apa yang ada dimana kita berada dizaman muda sudah puas duduk dibandar,dan dikota,kota besar,kuala lumpur,singapor,bangkok,tokyo, dan lain🥰🤲🤲

Too many malls. They should build creative shop houses instead. Some big units, some smaller units. Dome catering to workshops so they don't hog parking spaces.

I think we gonna see mall apocalypse especially the mega mall in the city centre that was not anchored by big retailer since the situation now might prolonged. lower purchasing power and people prefer something that is nearer to them. We need more green spaces, not high end commercial lot.

Not just only the Malls. There are so many on going condo projects in KL Klang ,Selangor, Penang and JB. Already now over supply. Many are selling due to financial difficulties plus many foreigners leaving Malaysia and selling their properties. Current property prices are down 15% compared to pre-Covid. Expect to drop another 10% by end this year at the rate the economy is going. Biggest worry will be when the banks start reprocessing and auctioning as it may lead to free fall of prices. 😰😰😰

mall should have other attractions rather than the typical outlets....mall should create unique experience for the guests..for example having waterfall, mini forest, 3D animation park, or incorporating the disneyland concept will attract more crowd...

As February 2023, i think the biggest mall is ioi city mall. It took me one hour to complete each floor! You can almost get any restaurant or shop you name there! 😂

M40 can also buy :) Don't underestimate M40 buddy. They earn from RM5000 lowest to RM9000 Highest. Even the richer B40s earn up to RM4000 to RM5000.

Yang Ecohill walk Semenyih tu saya tak yakin dia boleh hidup. Sebab orang Malaysia ni tak suka pergi open air mall. Orang Malaysia suka pergi mall ber-aircond. Kebanyakan open air mall yang saya pernah jumpa mesti tak hidup. Paling teruk mall Space U8 Shah Alam lah. Sampai sekarang sendu. Dulu masa awal awal bukak dulu ada la jugak kedai menyewa. Lepastu takde orang datang, terus bungkus semua. Tapi kalau management pandai, boleh la hidup jugak. Macam Citta Mall dgn Genting Premium Outlet.

Most of the shopper now also shop on-line. Easy to compare price to price. Is only F&B still can survive at shopping mall. However, due to the shopping centre rent is expensive, competition is huge, also hard to do.

I would not know how shopping mall could be a sustainable business model after covid-19 lockdown with the stronger position of e-commerce. Unless they provide plentiful of fantastic experience for its visitor, there are no reason for mall to exist in the post covid-19 world.
