Blue marvel is also a physicist. One that was said to rival Reid Richards, at one point. And T'Challa is king of a nation that have scientists that casually cured all cancers. Peter Parker would give an arm to study in their universities and T'Challa was the smartest of all of them. I think they should've made the list.

@@huh3719 how would that make sense. If it’s created by banner who’s dumber than all of them how would he be able to properly gage their intelligence. Second while I do believe she’s in the top ten Lunella is far more limited than the likes of Doom and Reed in terms of disciplines of science. You can be incredible smart in something but I think to be the most intelligent you need more variety and as well as the ability to think outside the box. She’s shown great engineering with few resources but in terms of disciplines she’s not shown the variety Reed has. Also like Valeria she’s held back by her desire to prove how smart she is and not to be overlooked as a child. Also if push comes to shove Reed can literally stretch his mind and think beyond his human limits due to his powers as he’s done several times before.

@@historyking9984 you can create things that is too complex for your peers that are brighter than you or even for yourself to solve, it makes complete sense. As a matter of fact, there’s a lot of unsolvable puzzles that have been created. Obviously Doom and Reed have more varied knowledge, but the point is that Lunella has a higher IQ, therefore it would be easier for her to learn those things then it was for Doom and Reed, just like the banners puzzle. Valeria Richards is also stated to have a higher iq than Reed as well, but obviously as I said before he has had time to learn more. Remember Moon girl is only 9 years old, when she’s Reed Richards age, who knows what she’ll have done and obviously she’ll have matured by then, she’s still young, she’s obviously gonna have strong character flaws

She isnt. She's very intelligent in her own right and very similar to tony's character, though i wouldn't out her above tony or Bruce in this list as she has less feats and her whole identity is hinged on tony's invention to begin with. Though she, just like tony, has her flaws, she can be too hot headed and overly confident at times and she still has much to learn, but she's often blinded by her talent, thats quit similar to anakin skywalker from star wars.

Bruce Banner actually admitted that Amadeus was the 8th smartest person in the world. He said that he label Amadeus as the tenth smartest in case someone came after the smartest people in the world. Which came to fruition when the Intelligencia captured Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Hank Pym, Victor Doom, Hank McCoy, and Reed Richards. They didn't go after Cho because Banner intentionally labeled Cho inaccurately as the 10th smartest person. Its the storyline where everyone became hulks and red hulks.

You can’t compare young geniuses to the likes of Reed Richards and Tony Stark. These young geniuses have the benefit of the inventions and innovations of their predecessors. It’s like comparing Tony Hawk to today’s young skaters. There are no doubt kids that are as good or better than Hawk was, but they’re building off of his innovations. Like Richards and Stark, Hawk propelled his field into another level. Unless these young geniuses can claim the same, then they’re simply not on the same level.

One thing marvel has failed to do is touch on the isolation that comes with it. The book flowers for algernon touches on it well. The more a person is able to grasp subjects and form advanced connections the harder it becomes to relate to others who are just not able. It would be interesting to see how marvel would tackle this side of extreme intelligence.

Movie Shuri was basically a whole new character. I really enjoyed her and was surprised when I got into the comics she was so different. She was a bright but not super-genius woman with a deep connection to Wakanda's mysticism and a chip on her shoulder for being her Dad's 2rd favorite kid. (T'Chaka was a good dad but wasn't great at hiding that T'Challa was priority 1. Their adopted brother Hunter took it even harder.) MCU Shuri, happy Tech genius and chill little sister was basically a new character invented by Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole. Marvel has tried lately to make Comics Shuri more like Movie Shuri, even hired an award winning Afro-Futurist writer to helm the series. But it didn't catch fire.

For something like this, I think it'd be more fair (and more interesting) if you made 4 lists of who is smartest in Marvel Comics because: A, you have the earthlings. Humans, Mutants, Atlanteans B, you have AI like Ultron and Vision C, you have cosmic level beings like the Asgardians, Silver Surfer, Galactus and Thanos D, you have beings who see and know all like The Watchers and One Above All Reed Richards is smart. This is the first list I've seen that really considers the downsides of some of the hero's personalities and changes their placement accordingly. The only thing I really question is that almost half the list are younger heroes who really haven't fully proven their intelligence yet. I love that you listed Hank Pym about where I would have put him (higher than most lists I've seen). Also like that you brought up the fact that Tony Stark is really an engineer (and businessman) whose ego limits his intelligence and has an advantage because of his resources (that were originally created by his father). 👍
