I really liked all of these songs. Tee's compositions, of course, nailed the vibe of the zones. I also liked some of the other composers like Takahiro Kai, who did Speed Jungle Act Sonic, I believe. Senoue's work was not too bad, but definitely could've been better if they let him use the guitar and other instruments instead of the psuedo-Genesis soundfont he uses for every track he does. While some of these tracks are better than others, I don't think any of them are truly bad.

Title Screen 20. Speed Jungle act 2 Honorable mentions (not in order): 1. Bonus Stage 2. Main Menu 3. Egg Fortress act 1 Explanation to some of my placements: 1. I think Press Factory is the only time where a Genesis-like synth works well. It really adds to the atmosphere of an industrial environment, like with Mad Gear from Sonic 4 (aka the zone with the best music from both episodes). 2. Pinball Carnival act 1 is more catchy than act 2, but act 2 really sells the "haunted circus" vibe so I think the track works better overall.

@@krqstair Can't help myself. In Golden Capital the Genesis sounds didn't work too well. In Sky Temple it worked because it was tame. Press Factory doesn't tame its Genesis sounds, but it fits the industrial environment. Not to mention how catchy both acts of Press Factory are (especially act 2).

Sonic Superstars has some amazing soundtracks and I really like them but some of Soundtracks I’m not much of a fan of. My favorite Sonic Superstars soundtrack is speed Jungle Zone and Speed Jungle Zone is such a vibe to listen to. The list you made Unleash in this video I agreed with and Speed Jungle Zone one my Top 10 Favorite Classic Sonic soundtrack. Great video Unleash)

Great Video! As per usual with Sonic Games, the OST in Sonic Superstars is a banger especially the ones that are composed by Tee Lopes, I honestly think He nailed the vibe of the zones in the game, I also like some of the music that were composed by the other composers (like Takahiro Kai), but I have one problem with the OST, the Music that was composed by Jun Senoue (of Crush 40) could be a lot better if they let him use the guitar and other instruments instead of the Genesis soundfont he uses for every track he composed for Sonic Superstars (or even Sonic 4 Episode I and Episode II), but overall, Sonic Superstars has the best gameplay, the best visuals, the best music that we've ever seen in a 2.5D Sonic game since Sonic 4.

I would've put Speed Jungle Act Sonic, Egg Fortress Act 1, Pinball Carnival Act 2, Cyber Station Act 1, Cyber Station Phase 2 Boss 16-bit, and Frozen Base Boss Tracks (don't know why playing through the Tails Act of that stage skips Act 1 but there is a Wyvern or Winged Beast-type boss from Trip's gameplay) on up there and have Sky Temple be a little bit higher. Then place Lagoon City Act 1 lower, Pinball Carnival Act 1 may stay there but maybe a little lower as well, Bridge Island Act 2 lower, and both Speed Jungle Acts be switched and have Act 1 be a bit more lower cause Tee Lopes was laid back in the makings of that track. Exclude everything else outside of Stage Level, Hub, Bonus or Special Stage, and Boss Tracks.

The only zones that can compete with Speed Jungle Act 1(in my opinion) are Pinball Carnival Act 1, Cyber Station, and Egg Fortress Act 2.

sky temple doesn't deserve to be above SJ1 ,it doesn't even deserve to be on the list at all

maybe this will get you to think differently, the design of Sky Temple seems like it took inspiration from some elements of Sky Fortress (Sonic 2)/Flying Battery (Sonic 3) combined with Sky Sanctuary. Sky Fortress's music seems to be a part of Sky Temple's music. Now when getting into the comparisons of Sonic 4, Episode 2 had Sky Fortress but with 3 completely fleshed out acts whereas in Sonic 2 it was only 1 act and what Jun, the composer for almost all classic Sonic games and Sky Temple, used the instrumentation style under. There are waayy worse tracks in Superstars than Sky Temple. I could name you at least 6 that are under it (only in stage level, hub, bonus or special stage, and boss tracks. Care about nothing else outside of them.).

Yeah this is very disappointing for the sonic fans especially that the ost is a replacement to sonic 4 nightmare
