I am writing this a couple of weeks after the guy said Bank tellers keep old notes. I went to my bank about a month ago and asked if they had any. Nope. Went back earlier this week they had kept 5-$100s, 4-$50s, 2-$20s, 2-10s and 8-5s. All small heads. I may or may not keep all of them but I got all of them. None of these tellers had ever even seen me before because I usually do not go in this particular branch. So yes they will help.

I love star notes and the R & S experimental notes, they're my top bills to collect. Might sound crazy but I put every single star note, old or new, into my collection. I find the history/reasoning behind both categories really cool.

great video, i find that those monochrome notes are nearly impossible to find in circulation these days. i never see them anymore except maybe on ebay. i noticed they werent out for many years compared to the little heads and the new ones we have now. the bank still hands out the monochrome hundred dollar bills with the new ones. i have both a 1928 funny back and a 1928 two dollar bill with monticello on the back, also a couple 1929 federal reserve bank notes that look pretty cool.

I have a currency collection. Now join to give you a small sample, I’m not an avid collector so what I have is either from banks, friends and through private collections. Now the reason that I started this post was the set that you first item that you pulled out was the federal note set. You presented as an expensive item and said you had to lay as around $175 just for this item. So I started to think about it and in my currency collection I have an old $100 bill and I don’t remember why it is in my collection but I will pull out my currency case and find the item and why I put it in there, I also have a $50 dollar bill that is a national bank note so this is what I have on just $150.00 on two of my collection. Before this is over I will try to find values and faces and denominations of the company or the foreign currency as well. Be back soon

Aside from these great tips and info,I liked your replies about holding cash,fiat,and our economy collapsing.Everyone says the dollar doesn't have buying power these days,inflation, I get it,but back 100 years ago,it didn't have any buying power either, its different times.The US dollar isn't going anywhere soon,but that's just my opinion. I save any old bills,2 dollar bills,anything like that, like you said, it's a savings.Along with banktellers,I know people in retail, servers,etc,that come in the bar,and give me stuff that I've asked about, faced value.Last night a waitress came in gave me a 1928D 5$ LT,pretty worn,but still worth at least 30$.I bought her a couple beers, she was more excited about that, lol.

That's very cool of you. I could also be bought off for a few beers. lol! I always wonder if people read my replies to others. I also wonder how many people I piss off without ever knowing it! I actually did a video explaining why I think stacking physical silver (instead of just buying paper silver) is unpatriotic for the same reason. I just didn't publish it yet. I giggle to myself every time I see "America" or "patriot" or something similar with the words "silver" and "stacker" because, let's face it, if you are buying silver at this high price AND paying high premiums, You could get so much more for your investment dollar if you just got paper ETFs. Yes, you would be screwed in a global economic collapse, but getting only high premium physical silver shows a persons distrust in the country and society they claim to be a patriot of; therefore, unpatriotic. But what do I know! LOL! Take care!

@Stuplubakcurrency3 жыл бұрын
The 666 note is more of a novelty. I thought about putting 50 of these together and trying to sell them as a group but I didn't think anyone would buy them. Your $2 note is a very high number. They don't make them that high any more. They stop at 96000000. I save all notes that have quads but that's just because I'm trying to find 2 notes with the same number. Most people look for 5 or 6 of a kind. Double check the series of that note. There is a big difference between 2003 and 2003 A. 2003 A notes are regular notes. But 2003 were only star notes. They were extremely short printed.
