Here is my personal Steve Jobs story. I was an hp employee in 2005. My autistic son and I went into an Apple store and they had a program for kids to use while the parents were shopping called Just for Kids that would allow the kids to use the machines but not change settings. My son would constantly go into my home office and change the settings on my Microsoft computer. So, I decided to send Steve an email (guessed at his email) on a sunday after to ask how I could buy the just for kids app. 20 minutes later I get an email from him saying he wanted to help and that someone would call me the next day. Two months later his people had cleared the licensing restrictions to allow me to get the software and be the only non store to have it. Then a computer shows up at my front door with the software....all free. That was the kind of guy Steve was and even though I'm now an HP retiree, we only use apple products in my house

@Sugar Muffin I already knew that HP executives had very simple emails like Presidents Carly Fiorini was carly.fiorini@hp.com and Mark Hurd as mark.hurd@hp.com They like to read their own email unfiltered by an administrator. So, I just made a guess that his email was steve.jobs@apple.com and it was. Twenty minutes later he replied

2:25 that wasn't unrealistic. He told her to make her shareholders wait for few years which Steve did it with apple when Sculley was the ceo. Steve wanted to make machintosh a close system(non campatible with other softwares) which was, at that time, considered a foolish move. Everyone thought it would fail measurably but Steve eventually proved why his visions are correct. Nowadays, the apple is apple because of its non compatibility with other devices. So I wont say reducing sugar would be a bad idea for Pepsico when Steve himself told that. [Some people are just born visionary who can see the next 10 years crystal clear in their mind. And I consider Steve the greatest visionary to ever step on the earth.] It would be a foolish move of Pepsico for few years but eventually with good and visionary leader, Pepsico would make comeback.

But why Steve said at first story ' tell your shareholders that have to wait ' ?
@ronnieturner6820
@ronnieturner6820 2 жыл бұрын
Because during that time cocaine was prevalent and arse eating was becoming big around the kids. But if you wait between doing both, it’s more enjoyable each time. So if you do a line and lick a crack, then wait say - a month before doing it again, it’ll be amazing

@@theyoungindians9027 Jobs chose a vegan lifestyle after reading a book that convinced him too much dairy created excess mucus. Written by Arnold Ehret, Mucusless Diet Healing System advocated for a diet free from not just meat. The piece also warned against eating anything that wasn’t a starchless vegetable or a fruit.

Revolutionized payment systems with PayPal. Tesla shaping the sustainable energy sector, space x trying to source alternatives to living on earth. The boring company solving traffic issues. Twitter democratizing communication. Neuralink doing research in medical breakthroughs and communication. All with his own money and unlike jobs going the job himself and not just pushing others to do it. Need I say more. Doing the job and paying for it. That should be plenty to explain
