my best strategy games are stronghold crusader hd which i play since i was 14 and frostpunk...use to be red alert 2 and age of empires3 also before all these what introduce me to strategy games was age of mithology oh dude i had it written on 3 cds :))good old times...used to play online with dudes and build huge armies in stronghold and then just fight the kings between them to death:)))

It's hard to find rts creators you get a follow sir. Gunna try dune tomorrow. Aoe IV is fun but the campaign was a hudge let down and the building option was lacking. A game that is a mix of stronghold 2, age of empires 3, total war, and the voice commands option from end war. As a starting point

What are the best games for large scale turn based battles preferably of the Medieval era? I used to be into table top gaming and enjoyed Warhammer Epic battles so something like that would be good. I like turn based so you can pause to decide tactics rather then things getting out of control without you noticing.

in total war you have plenty of different historical titles, the campaign is in turns and the battles are on battle maps which gives massive armies battles, but they are real-time so maybe you dont enjoy that, if its useful when i play battles in totalwar warhammer i press pause often which allows you to still move the camera and give orders while everything is frozen if i feel the situation is getting out of my hands

@Mr Shitlord I love both genres of strategy games. Total war is probably my favorite strategy game franchise and I like warhammer. But RTS (real time strategy) and grand strategy games are completely different. No similar mechanics in any way at all. Only similarity is they are both strategy games but so is chess lol. There are real time tactics in total war battles but the battles are only one aspect of the game which in a sense you could completely skip via autoresolve. Also tactics and strategy are very different things. There's no real time strategy in total war just real time tactics. And being turn based is literally the opposite of being real time. He also said stellaris which is not an RTS either its a grand strategy game but isn't turn based like total war. All the games in the video were RTS games which is what the video is about. How someone could say an RTS like Age of empires could possibly be In the same category of like warhammer 3 is silly. Edit: it's kinda like saying an FPS like COD and an open world RPG like GTA are in the same genre because in both you play as a character and shoot guns. In a sense they are similar beacause they are both shooters but they are all also very different kind of games just like how RTS and turn-based strategy, and grand strategies are all strategy games but are very different.

It's the year 2024 (was 2023 when the video was made), all consoles are just PC's with Not Windows. There's no difference between a PC port or a console port. They just "tune" the graphics settings to run smoothish on the console, something anyone on PC can do themselves. My 1080ti from 7 years ago is still a better GPU than what the PS5 offers.
