There is a difference between strongest and most powerful. For example , Jean Grey wouldn't be classed as one of the strongest mutants in Marvel but she is one of the most powerful mutants. Tempest is a powerful mutant but she isn't one of the strongest.

Some of the ones that seem super random are actually the most powerful. There was a guy called Hijack who started with Eva Bell in the Brian Bendis X-Men who could control machinery. Also a villain by Chris Claremont named Sketch who could make stuff happen by drawing it in a sketchpad. Both seem super random, but are actually way powerful compared to a lot of "strong" characters.

He will get all of her abilities including those in her subconscious, use it their upmost peak with perfect control and no drawbacks. Remember when Sage temporary help boost Rogue's powers to the max to allow her to beat Vargas? That's Synch without help from Sage or any telepath.

@@codybk91 Those abilities including the one Rogue no longer have access too. The absorption is redundant to have, because the ability will be useless against each other. On the other hand, Synch can used the absorption ability to read everyone's mind and memories with possibly erase partially/all of it without touching the opponent. Rogue can now do the former, but she have not done the latter yet. This is something Synch can use due to him not being a true psychic/telepath with his aura ability unlike his ex girlfriend Penance who have both telepathy and aura reading/sensing. The positive of aura sense/reading is the ability to find anyone who is using telepathy, technology, or telepathic immune whom otherwise cannot be detected by telepaths regardless if they using Cerebro or not.

He don't need any Mutants around him just needs a sample or a single strand of DNA, even without that... Synch can now recall any mutant or non- mutant ability he has stored from memory.

There are theories that Hope was a reincarnation of Jean, but after Marvel brought Jean back, they just glossed over the whole thing. IMO, the Phoenix created Hope as a sort of stand-in for Jean, basing her appearance off of Jean's likeness.
