Which is weird, considering Alucard is a Damphier, not a Vampire. He has a reflection in his home series because he's half human, and has a soul. That's why vampires have no reflection: mirrors used to be lined with Murcury and Silver, which are considered holy metals. Vampires have no souls so the have no reflections. Alucard has always had a reflection. And what's more modern mirrors are backed with aluminum foil now, so even if he didn't have a soul he'd still have a reflection since aluminum isn't a holy reflective surface.

My personal favourite is Alucard. He’s so faithful to his appearance in Symphony of the Night it’s actually kind of insane. Plus he has a ton of abilities. If I could have any one of these characters moved up to playable status it would be him.

Exactly. Simon was unnecesary because most of his moves are taken from Richter's repertoire. If anything, Simon IS the echo fighter, not Richter. Removing Simon and having Richter next to Alucard would be the right thing to do. After all, they both appear in the same game, Symphony of the Night; moreoever, I would so main Alucard because his powers are insane and so many.

Besides which, echoes don't 'replace' characters, they are added becaus the reused moves and animations make it viable to include them both. Not that I'd mind his inclusion, but dropping someone won't help towards it.

​@@Yokai_Yuri Only a handful of moves are specifically from Richter's games, and one move is something they could both use in a game where they were BOTH unlockable bonus characters. Besides that, only three moves out of their moveset are _specifically_ taken from Richter, including their Final Smash. The other two moves are their Down Tilt and Dash, which were necessary to round out the moveset because Simon didn't have anything that would really work for either of those in his own games. It's also not "right" to remove a character when there are a lot of people who prefer Simon over Richter. Just adding Alucard would be the right move. Simon has more history than Richter, having been in 16 games total while Richter has only really been in 6. He is more recognized by the gaming community at large, especially with older fans who played the NES titles when they were new.

@@OtakuUnitedStudio Not really. All of those games Simon has been in outside of his cannonical and chronological appereances are remakes or side games of the original. That does not count towarda anything. Sure, Simon is iconic because he eas the first Belmont to be feaured in a castlevania game; however, in smash games they had to add Richter's moves to Simon to make him appealing to the players;otherwise, no one would even use a character with clunky movement options and slow weaponry. Richter's up B, down-tilt, dash attack and final smash are all of his moves, not Simon's, and if Simon got some of them in remake or side games that does not count as being "his moves". If anything, the belmonts in smasg are not faithful to their original games because both Richter and Simon are a fusion of each other. Richrer was the fast one with unlimited mega jumps and what not while Simon was more traditional boots on the ground vampire killer. Smash took those traits and made a bastardized version of richter with castlevania 3 movement for both characters.

Just imagine how well the hunter would fit in... he enters the battle hanging off a wyvern, smash attacks would be hammer and great sword moves, recovery could be an insect glaive jump, specials could be traps and hh maybe... and his final smash would 100% be a tranq bullet, that if it hits plays a scene where 4 hunters throw mega barrel bombs on the sleeping target before getting blown up by bazelgeus crashing into them. Just imagine...

@@user-lc3on9fd9m Oh yeah, THAT MH move! Sleep the target, then set Mega Barrel Bombs, then have a Greatsword user charge up a swing that will set off the Barrel Bombs AND deal damage to the foe. I've done that in MH, though had someone else do the Greatsword part.

Completely agreed, especially about Dark Samus. They did her so dirty in Ultimate... I mean, she has so many different attacks they could have used to make her different, but nope. And it is painful seeing how many Assist Trophies there are that really should be playable. Zero, Knuckles, Alucard, Rodin, Shovel Knight, and more with actual partial movesets that are already in the game.

You know what make rathalos even more accurate to his series? You're in the middle of fighting someone, and they call for help. Then he swoops in and interrupts everything you were previously doing, lets your enemy run away and heal, and demands all focus be on him. The only thing better would be roar of rathalos completely cutting off the music that was already playing to emphasize the interruption, and because that's what happens.

I personally love items and time based matches. It takes a different type of skill to excel at these kinds of matches. And while yes you can loose to nothing but randomness, that doesn't change plenty of games that are competitive where this is the case still being main stream.*Cough* look at any trading card game *cough*. Shadow- Largely because he's my favourite Sonic character, I also really like the small changes they made in Ultimate. Particularly that fact that he actually has a Chaos Emerald. I talked with someone online a few days ago saying they were bored of playing with items because "it's unfair for inexperienced players." I always felt like they leveled the playing field more, and I've heard a lot of hardcore players say that items "take the skill out" because a noob can grab a Bob-Omb and get a sudden turn-around while a skilled player will rely entirely on their mastery of their fighter's moveset. Also, Fighter Pass 2 is coming out soon, so here's hoping for the Hunter. Or a Palico. Or Guildmarm.

Hardcore players have been loudly complaining about items since Melee, because "they're not skill-based" and "too random". Because they think that a real test of ability is how much you've mastered a character's moveset rather than your ability to react to unpredictable situations. For me, Isaac is bittersweet. I'm a huge fan of Golden Sun, and I hate that the franchise ended on a cliffhanger. However I'm happy that Isaac has a mii-fighter costume, assist trophy, and all the GS spirits. I doubt we will see him playable, but at least Nintendo/Bandai is giving the franchise some love.
