Another reason they may have covered up Dark Primate's card in the dub was due to TV regulations. In the USA, using images identical to the cards would be treated as a commercial, where that's not the case in Japan. That's also why for shows like Yugioh, while the Japanese cards look like actual Yugioh cards, the dubbed ones are altered.

Seeing that Steelix from Pokemon Ranger filled me with so much latent rage. I cannot tell you how many times I died to that as a kid. Sure, I beat it eventually, but the scars never healed. That thing made me never want to replay the original Ranger, because eventually it would stand in my path once again.

There is a card that was released in 2018 as a promo called Ishihars GX. It has 350 HP. And as far as I can tell it doesn't say it isnt legal to play (but its in a special set that isn't any of the legal sets so theoretically its only legal in expanded)

This is why you program one per-save file, instead of one per-cartridge.

As a kid I never passed Lvl 3 , that Race was insanity. Weird to see that half of the game is easier than that.

There's actually another form of drafting, which my boyfriend and Icame up with on a whim to fix some of the issue with drafting in Pokemon. Basically, we came up with a discard system for our draft. We started with 12 boosters that we open all at once, and then we allowed each other to discard 15 cards as many times as we want in order to open another pack. This gives an initial look at what you have to work with, and lets you early on figure out what element, pokemon lines, etc you want to base your strategy around. We keep thinning the card pool until we don't feel like we can anymore, then build a deck pulling from an infinite energy pool. It requires a lot of packs if you do it in person, but on tabletop it works perfectly. It's up to you what cards are worth keeping, and which ones can go. The key thing here is your discard amount needs to be over 10/11 cards so you can't do it infinitely, and you need an initial amount of packs that is fairly sizable so you can safely discard a few times.

I played a ton of the TCG video game on gameboy as a kid, and I stuffed that lickitung in all my decks. I didn't care about retreat cost, or the stalling power, I just thought he was funny. Strangely without a stall deck I managed to deck a lot of games though, what a unit.

The game is almost 20 year old. I think it's fair to use a modded 3DS, especially since there is a limited time left to Bank and since anyone can mid their 3DS.

There’s likely some sort of RNG manip you could do in order to expedite the process significantly.

Man I wasn’t able to find the manga bits of Yugi and the gang with a yo-yo, or the section where Anzu went to the pool with Yugi, and any extras I may have missed that went into season 0, but I didn’t spot in the first seven manga. I’m still not sure where to find them, but thanks for the extra panels regardless. Maybe I can do some searching 👀

I shiny hunted this and used Soul Silver and rng to grab my egg at a particular frame to perfectly match my other game guaranteed shiny without wiping any save states it was still difficult and a fun process

I bought 2 rangers and both had the manaphy egg and I didnt need to play ranger. Both rangers were played and had ranger net. and both copys could receive the manaphy mission. There are a lot people who dont even know about manaphy and just play the game :D
