A few of these aren't forgotten storylines: 1. Hyde's crush on Donna is brought back up a couple of times but he moved on and respected Eric and Donna's relationship once they were official. 2. Hyde's Mom and Step Dad aren't forgotten, they abandoned him. It's not a dropped story, Hyde has made it clear he doesn't like to talk much about it. 3. I feel like Red was always super conservative but when he lost his job that effected his feelings for awhile. Once he started working again he reverted to being very right.

You forgot about the show's inconsistency with Christmas. There were 5 episodes set in the holiday overall: The first one where the gang sawed a Christmas tree to buy beer instead. The one at the apartment of Hyde's adoptive dad, where Eric went drunk. The one where Eric directed the Jesus play. The one where the gang went to the high school ball, after they graduated. And the one where the gang opens up the toys that were meant for donation. Yet seeing how the show is set from '76-'79, that could only allow 4 Christmas episodes. One for each year. Not to mention how prior to the series finale, set at December of '79, there wasn't a Christmas episode.
@Van9fromOuterSpace3 жыл бұрын
That was kind of a running joke. The show wasn't expected to last, so in the first season, time progresses really quickly. From what I recall reading, Buddy Morgan was supposed to be a recurring character but they cut him from the show because of poor reaction from the audience. Beacuase the show was still new (Buddy was introduced in only the 11th episode) the writers and others were worried that if they continued with Buddy, there would be more reactions to him, an it wouldn't go over well adnt he show wouldn't be on for long. So they cut him. Not because the character didn't work, just because it was 1998, and people still weren't prepared to see a Boy having a crush and being a potential love interest for another boy.

Fun fact: the girl who played Donna’s sister also played Baddison in Orange is the New Black

The 'Donna's sister' character needed more scenes. (Despite her being 14,) especially considering that the main characters were ALSO in their teens, albeit in their UPPER teens. Also, Masterson's choices in real life are sad ones that nobody can defend. I feel bad for him, but nobody can actually sit there and excuse his actions with women.

Mila was even younger than that. Happens a lot in shows with teens. In most cases they cast someone older though, like a 25 year old that looks young to play a 16 year old. So it’s easy for them to look the same age.

The part when Eric drops down and red is right behind him. Reminds me back when I used the babysit. One Of the kids a twelve-year-old boy, supposed to be doing his home school homework. He snuck out the window of his room only to turn around and see me Standing there outside Watching him sneak out of the window. I told him on the eldest of 3 I know all the tricks, I brought him back in to do his homework. And I went back to enjoying my book I was reading. He said why can't I be like normal babysitters and watch TV. Good times. Since I was reading I could hear everything going on in the house. I could hear him getting up to mischief when he was supposed to be doing homework. So I quietly snuck out of the house to where his bedroom is. And I stood there and waited. My suspicions were correct he came out of the window. It was on the 1st floor so I let him do it. Wouldn't have done so if it was on a higher level. Poor kid I was always a couple of steps ahead of him. His little sister who was a toddler loved me so did parents. I was the best babysitter they ever had. The 2 older kids didn't agree. They liked me we had fun but they couldn't get away with anything with me. I babysit them for like 2 years from the time I was 16 till around 18. I was a really cheap babysitter like 5 to $10 an hour for 3 kids Ranges one and a 1/2 to 12. One time we're playing with the chickens towards you on the driveway. We live out in the country. So it was very strange when this really big man started coming down the driveway. I was a teenage girl with 3 kids , Out in the middle and nowhere. This man was huge Definitely taller than 6'. If I had to guess somewhere is around 300 pounds. He wasn't fat just huge Kind of like hagrid. There is something very strange as nobody should be coming down the driveway. I told the man that he had to turn around and leave that no one was allowed over here. Ignored me and just kept on coming down the driveway towards us. I Told the older kids to Take their baby sister into the house. I stayed behind to tell the man to go away. He just ignored me and kept on getting closer and closer. I warned him that if he didn't leave I'd be calling the cops. Since he kept getting closer I got scared and I ran into the house and locked the door. He then came to the front door and just stood there trying to get in. I repeated the words telling him that he had to leave. I also called the parents and told them what was happening and asking what I should do. I asked them if I should call the cops. Which would take a long time for them to come as we lived in a small town. The father knew what was going on. Apparently nearby there was a home for adults with mental illness, Or mental disability. This big man was one of the residents. He had a mental disability and had wandered off. The father called the group home and chewed them out. He was really Proud how I handled the situation. In the moment I couldn't tell and I had no idea, The man was not a danger. I was scared for my life and the kids and I was preparing to fight to protect them. I was sixteen, Like a 115 pounds soaking wet. That man looks like he could easily break down the door. Felt bad when I found out he was mentally disabled and just a huge Teddy bear of a person. But then again he was a stranger who was Trespassing on private property and refusing to leave. I could have been nicer but my 1st priority was protection of the kids, And not the feelings of a stranger. Even if the guy had the mind of a child he could have still been dangerous To us.

I was actually happy to see WKRP alumni in That '70s Show.. you had Venus Flytrap (Tim Reid) as Hyde's biological father, Dr. Johnny Fever (Howard Hesseman) as the boss of WFPP, the radio station that Donna starts working at, and in the episode where they are competing in WFPP's contest to win a van.. not only is Howard there running the contest but one of the contestants was played by French Stewart who played Razor D in The New WKRP in Cincinnati (syndicated revival from the '90s).. it was cool seeing those two together again.
