Thanks!. I actually purchased some of those things for my home. Don’t have an rv. After watching your videos not sure I want to 😊. I will just ride with my sister who owns one and let her husband do all the work. All kidding aside, love watching your adventures.

Hi Anthony! Thank You, You're the Best! A lot of the things we recommend in this video are easy prevention items. After full-timing for over 3 years, it's just easier to throw the drain/shower catchers in on day 1 and forget about it. They are cheap and easy. That goes for the bug screens as well. Throw them on and then hit the road. We learned the hard way about needing water sensors. Without those little things letting you know you have a leak, the entire RV will fill up before you see anything splash on the ground outside. We can't stop things from breaking, but we enjoy the many challenges that the RV Lifestyle brings. We wish you the very best on this Memorial Day Weekend and safe travels. Please give our best to you sister and family as well. Pam & Lee

One item you forgot regarding Poopsi's is getting a pair of heavy duty gloves, and a plastic bin to store the equipment in the basement...

We have a tube on back of trailer to store the hose. Easy convenient and no smell once every two trips I leave the flaps open and rinse it out in case of any leaks

great video. my wife is a retired physician and her biggest pet peeve is the poop hose. it drives her crazy when she witnesses people emptying this hose that think just because they are wearing gloves that they don't have to wash their hands after. small thing to do to prevent getting sick. sad thing is most rver's don't do this.

Make sure the new shower head you purchase has an on and off button near the head so when you are boondocking or just are water conservative.. you can leave the water on at the faucet and control on and off at the head for lathering.

Great list guys, we been using TST fours years now and NEVER had a false message,TST came out with a new monitor, the TST 770 Touch Screen Color Monitor. Please weight your new rig, being overweight is a serious liability issue in case of an accident. RVIA poop tank tec says not to use the drop in tank pods because they don’t desolve 100 percent and can over time plug up everything. Safe travels

Must haves for day 1... Water hose & regulator Sewer hose & fittings Wheel chocks All the rest are should haves. Not really needed for a first weekend camping trip. That would be over $1,000 in extras just to go camping at your local state park.

On our new 2023 Jayco greyhawk 30z, our inspector indicated that we already had EMS built into our motorhome. I hope he was correct

Please Double check and let us know. You definitely have a management system that switches between power input, but I’m not sure about surge protection. We don’t have surge protection built into our new 2023 RV. We purchased a Progressive Industries external surge protector.

@discoveryboundrv
@discoveryboundrv Жыл бұрын
Hi Vonda! LOL. We are keeping it. We now have 2 RVs and we will be traveling this season with both rigs. Pam’s Mom will be joining us (behind the scenes) to spend time with the kids for a few months. She just retired in Germany and we haven’t seen her in a few years. How fun is that. 😀

@@discoveryboundrv That's awesome! Good luck with your family on your adventures. We're empty nesters camping on the weekends. Not yet retired but getting close. I know how Pam's mom must feel being away from the grandbabies. Our old son is in the air Force stationed in Japan. Missing our grands so much. Thankfully we were able to spend two weeks in Japan with them in December. Enjoy having the company of grammie on the road with you.

@discoveryboundrv

Hi Cynthia. Yes, they are used for both 30 & 50 Amp RVs. We have a 30 Amp surge protector for the new Class C and a 50 Amp surge protector for the 5th Wheel.

Do you guys plan on pulling a toad? The only issue i have having a C is not having a car to pull behind it. once you set camp, you're stuck there without one. My wifes CRV cannot be towed because its AWD. I would have to put it on a full trailer.
@discoveryboundrv
@discoveryboundrv Жыл бұрын
Completely agree. We are keeping both RVs, so we still have Maximus (F-350). Having a tow vehicle is a huge factor in deciding which type of RV to buy. Great point. Best, Lee
