We rented a Jeep Wrangler ($600 for a week) and got around perfectly. This will allow you to do excursion's without having to pay for a tours that are greatly over priced.

You guys did a good job. I’d have to add the lighthouse on the north tip of Aruba is great for pictures overlooking palm beach. Also there is a pet cemetery and correctional facilities just north of baby beach

Thanks for a great video. We just got back from Aruba and had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Hyatt in Palm Beach and would definitely stay there again. One morning we spent an enjoyable 2 hours visiting the Butterfly Farm. Your video helped us see some of the sights we missed and want to see on our next visit.

Am in Aruba. Would never stay in Palm Beach or Oranj. area. Way too commercial and crowded, not best beaches, and Oranj. is right by cruise ships and airport. Eagle Beach is best. Bucuti and Tara by far best resort IMHO. If you like quiet. It’s only a 10 min. drive to the nightlife…

Hi! Yes! We made it everywhere in a sedan, and it was no problem. We took it semi-slowly on the dirt road to the Bushirbana ruins and Natural bridge area and had no trouble whatsoever! Do you have a trip coming up?!

I will be taking her and my dads ashes back to Puerto Rico to their home towns to spread their ashes. Then when I get back I plan on heading to Aruba to relax but also to Celebrate their lives. If you have a gorgeous beach at your hotel, don’t waste your time. IMO it’s crowded, you have to rent umbrellas or cabanas. It is far in terms.

Gardene you are going to LOVE Aruba, it's such a fun spot! And that is a good piece of advice, thanks for sharing! In Aruba, it's mainly a Taxi kind of place. We were lucky to have our AirBNB host zip us around to most places in her car, but you can either rent a car or take a taxi.

Hi! We were lucky enough to have our AirBNB host excited to drive us around. Your best bet would be to probably rent a car. We felt most Taxi rides in Aruba come out to $20-$25, so if you were planning on moving around a good amount, renting a car is probably a great idea!

We were lucky enougy to have our AirBnB host take us around, which was super nice! Taxis on the island really can add up (it felt as if they are about $20/one way to most places you go). So if you are planning on moving around alot while you're there, a rental car may be the move! We hope you have a great trip! 😃

I am from Pennsylvania, USA here in Aruba as I write this for my first time. I visited BUSHIRIBANA on 9 26. A 125 year old church, no longer in use, in my hometown burned down with only its stone walls left standing in May 2020. As I went inside BUSHIRIBANA I felt a distinct sense of energy shared within the church walls....

Just to clarify hurricane Katrina did NOT hit Aruba. Aruba is south of the hurricane belt. They might get some storms and heavy rains but never hit directly.

We just got our passports and literally can't decide where to take our teenagers for their first overseas trip. Costa Rica, Aruba or Jamaica!! Any recommendations?

That's so exciting Jon! And those are some great options!!! I guess it all depends on what the teenagers interests are. Costa Rica probably has the most eco-adventure activities of those choices, so if zip-lining and adventure are of interest, that might take a top spot (and has great beaches too.). If you mainly are interested in the beaches, Aruba is a great choice, and Southwest flies there, so you can sometimes get some great deals on flights. We haven't visited Jamaica yet, but we do know we loved the beaches of Aruba! We hope you guys have a great trip!
