Do not come to live in Ithaca if you must rent. My rent has gone up over $225 in Ithaca in 2 years. Can’t afford the rent, can’t afford to move. Where does one seek help or relief for this?

Must be the price tag. As for the school, the buildings are a 1960s nightmare of steps and some of the worst architecture in the last 100 years. Cornell has dozens of castle like stone buildings, but as an Ivy League, it's still the new kid on the block.

Others have already mentioned it, but Ithaca College is not in the Ivy League. Also you show footage of Trumansburg when talking about downtown Ithaca. Also important PSA: please don't try swimming at the base of Ithaca falls (Fall Creek.) It's a particularly dangerous spot, people drown there shockingly often due to the intense current from the falls which can hold you underwater and you're done. That would probably ruin your vacation, so don't try it. Anyway, thanks for highlighting our town in this video!

Fact-check: Johnson Art Museum, shown in the video, opened in 1973 (there was a previous museum in another location on campus). Some of the footage of "Downtown Ithaca" is actually Trumansburg. Cayuga Lake is the second-largest in terms of surface area and longest of the Finger Lakes.

Not a bad list, really! You didn’t mention Taughannock Falls, the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi. In fairness, it is about 9 miles north of Ithaca on the west side of the lake (in Trumansburg). You included video of quaint downtown T-burg in your downtown Ithaca shopping

Robert H Treman State Park is by far the best place in Ithaca. Buttermilk it’s great too. And there is actually a trail that connects them, but it’s long.

Academically speaking Cornell University is best known for their agriculture research and Veterinary sciences. They have one of the best Veterinary colleges in the world. As with all Ivy League universities, politically speaking, Cornell is leftist.

Yale in New Haven Connecticut, Penn State in Philadelphia PA, Princeton in New Jersey, Brown in Providence R.I., Columbia in NYC, and Dartmouth in Hanover New Hampshire are the rest of the Ivy League schools in the North East of the US. I hope that helps. A search engine or AI chatgpt will list them all for you and any specifics you may be looking for. But know that you do not need an Ivy League for an excellent education opportunity. Good luck and happy future!!
