Thanks for making a video that aims to fill in the extra time that we might have during our trip. Because there is obvious tourists places to see, but it can be hard to know what to do with our extra time that could arise. However, thanks to your video I now know what to feel into those extra minutes. Thanks again!

Hi! We found your channel on twitter. This is amazing. We were supposed to go to Greece right before the pandemic. Had to cancel our plans, but hopefully we can try again in the future. Subscribed so we can look back on this when we finally go!

Hey! Thank you!!! I know right, so many things got cancelled over the past year 😅 I was supposed to go Santorini instead of Athens! But Santorini was taken off the travel corridor list just before I went errrrrrgh so had to change it!! but had a great time in Athens anyway!😍

Next time you come in Greece, visit Thessaloniki. It's the second biggest city in Greece (the co-capital). It has an international airport and Halkidiki peninsula near by for your vacation. You will love the city and its waterfront. Most people sais it has better food than Athens.

What Nafplio is it? I found so many, and the one that looks like that is so far away I’m not sure anymore

Its about a 1.30/2hr drive from Athens, so quite far for just the day! But if you're taking the bus it isn't too bad!

Aegina, Ydra and Spetses are islands close to Athens that you could go easily even if you have limited amount of time

This is great info. I'm going to Athens in a few months for about a week. So this is perfect. Can you stay overnight at one of the islands? Thanks.

where do you recommend to put my passport when I go swimming ?
@Wanderlauren3 жыл бұрын
Either locked in your suitcase, a locker or a safe in your room where you are staying.. I wouldn't take it swimming with you.

I hear so so much about how unsafe young women feel when in Greece, so how did you combat that in order to do things like bars etc at night?
@Wanderlauren3 жыл бұрын
Hey Meagan, In regards to going to bars at night. I was always with a group of people. Sometimes mixed & sometimes just with girls. It was really busy and well lit in most places. The walk back to the hostel was on busy streets & only took 5 minutes. I never felt unsafe or threatened when I was in Athens. I only stayed in the central part of Athens though, where most of the tourists are. I think for the most part Athens (& Greece) is relatively safe for women. I went to one area little outside of the main area and it did have a bit of a seedy vibe even at 8am. There are good parts and bad parts of every country and city though! My advice would be; make sure you research any area, city or country before travelling there. Whether it’s googling, reading blog posts, watching videos or chatting to someone who lives there or other travelers you may meet. Try and get a feel for which places to avoid and which places are safe. Don’t restrict yourself from going out and living your life. But don’t do anything you wouldn’t do at home. For example, my flight landed in Athens quite late - about 10:30pm. I wanted to get the metro which took 40 minutes & then walk to my hostel. I decided to email my hostel, notify them about my plans and ask them if it would be safe for me to do this. They responded with “yes, it is safe, don’t be afraid! but watch your luggage on the metro” because of that I was prepared & they knew when to expect me. Don’t forget knowledge is power! haha (I don't always do this, like if I was travelling with my bf or I already knew what a place is like but when I am on my own, it gives me peace of mind.) Even though they said It's a safe area, I always walk quickly and make sure I'm aware of who is around me! 😉 Hope this answers your question!! :) I am working on a solo female travel series at the moment & the videos will be posted in the next few months so stay tuned for those as well! ☺️

Great video but lord have mercy, you talk so fast!

I want to apologize and make a point. Yes, you do speak fast but because I’m not used to the British accent, understanding you becomes tougher. So it’s partially my fault.
