Your channel is awesome, man! I just fired my buddy's Glock 17 today, and I liked it, but I'm still looking to get myself a CZ75 BD. I like the idea of less recoil. Also I heard that 75's are slightly more reliable, when it comes to stovepipe limp-wristing failures, such as they don't happen often.

A lot of polymer framed pistols are so light that they're often susceptible to limp-wristing stove pipe failures. The heavier, all metal guns typically don't have these issues. It's something about how the gun flips back upon firing, it catches the ejected casing. It might not happen to a lot of shooters, but for more inexperienced shooters it's probably more likely. It's one of the main reasons I wouldn't suggest a Glock to a 90 pound girl. It may work well for a lot of guys, but Glocks seem to have that issue.
@spottedsaint57767 жыл бұрын
/// //// The Cz p07 duty is very manageable in the recoil department and is VERY reliable! I have a later gen 1 (with the "B" prefix in the serial number) and it's absolutely 100%. It's also a polymer framed pistol about the same size as the Glock 19 and there have been many comparisons between the two and they're about neck and neck as far as reliability is concerned. The earlier Gen4 Glock 19's had a recall on them because they decided to put a recoil spring designed for the 40 s&w in their 9mm's and this made it where you couldn't run lighter loads reliably in them. Glock of course straightened out of the issues out. I've never shot a glock but I've shot many other handguns and the Cz p07 duty is my favorite. I hear the Glock 19's have a snappier recoil than the p07 duty. I'm probably going to go try one out soon. I love my Cz p07 duty but I'm sure Glock makes a fantastic product as well. I picked out my Cz over the Glock 19 because it was a Gen 3 Glock and I just didn't care for it. I kind of like the Gen 4's though. You can't go wrong with either one in my opinion.

The Glock 17 was developed since our army the Bundesheer realized that the P38 sucked as sidearm and that it was completely obsolete. That was when Gaston Glock heard of their contest for the best Pistol. He just started tinkering and out came the famous Glock 17. He won the contract with the army.

Your incorrect The roth-styer M1907 is not the first striker fired handgun. The first production striker fired handgun was the C-93 Borchart produced i 1893 the gun that would be reworked to become the P08 Luger. There are actually striker fired designs back before that gun but none put into production with most only being a sample of 1 gun that never left an experimental phase. The borchart was produced in what for its time was considered large numbers.

25 years ago when I was qualifying for my concealed carry a man and wife were sharing a Glock! When he used the gun there was no problems! However, when she was firing it she often had a "stovepipe" malfunction! Instructor finally realized she was not resisting the recoils quite enough for the slide to function fully, sometimes resulting in the fired case not quite clearing the action. Once she started to "lean" into the recoil just a little she had no more problems! I suspect the same situation could apply to any semi-auto handgun. Just a thought to share.

My local gun shop (Indy Arms) has rental pistols. You can try a model before you buy in their range. I was buying my first handgun and the guy behind the counter pulled a Glock 17 Gen One and said that it had over 25,000 rounds through it. The only thing that was replaced was the barrel and extractor (I think) but 90% of the parts in it were original. That was enough for me. My Gen One has over 5000 rounds since I bought it new and I have not replaced anything except the springs in the magazines. They were really getting weak. The magazines have almost no finish left on them, as do most of the parts. I don't shoot it much anymore but it's under my mattress with one in the pipe. I now carry the Glock 43. Just more convenient and smaller that's all.

I've finally moved to a State that allows me my Second Amendment Right to Conceal carry, after spending most of my 62 years in the people's republic of Massachusetts, where my local police chief even though a really nice guy absolutely refused to sign a CCL for any resident except for the local Jewelers and Court Personnel. So now that I've moved to Florida, U.S.A. I'm a proud owner of my first firearm since a Model 98 Winchester Lever Action I bought while in The U. A. Army while stationed in Colorado. Yes, I bought a brand new Glock Model 23 Gen 4, .40 Cal. That in the first week of ownership have fired about 200 rounds at paper targets getting used to the kick and return to target with the 13+1, to the point of getting all shots within the center mass of a small life size paper person size target. From everything I've read the Glock is the best most reliable weapon for just about any price. The only issue more expensive handguns advantage will have is accuracy! But if accuracy was what I was really after I would go with a .357 Revolver.
I have a Glock 17 and I love it. Reliable and so easy to disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble.

Back just before the first Gulf War, several of us bought 9mm pistols of our choices. The Sig P226, Berretta 92, S&W 5906, and Browning Hi-Power were the choices made (one bought a Walther PPK in .380). None of us bought a Glock, which is interesting in retrospect. I also remember no one bought a HK M7,. that weird single stack squeeze clock thing... wow look what that is worth now. Anyway, Glock was the new underdog that eventually proved itself over time.

To prevent the unforeseen when I'm alone and down the block I pack a Holy Bible...a Bible and a Glock. If the enemy opposing has a Christian soul to seal I will bless him with a scripture, but if not... with lead and steel. I want to live in peace with everyone I see. I shall always try to do so, as much as depends on me. But there's no evil I will stand, no devil hand that I won't still Like the Lion and the Lamb. The very hand that blesses you can kill! To prevent the unforeseen when I'm alone and down the block I pack a Holy Bible...a Bible and a Glock.

Glock had contracts with the Australian military prior to the G17. He supplied bayonets and entrenching tools. A hell of a reach to go from that to designing a gun from scratch. One that blew away the competition from the big name manufacturers. I don't have a firearm. I live in a country where private citizens in general cannot own firearms without jumping through many hoops, and often not even then. I'm not sure I'd want a firearm anyway. But I admire good engineering, and the Glock is superbly designed. Sure, you can find individual points where a competitor now does that single thing better than Glock, but when you look at the overall package it's hard to beat.
