Let’s not forget when Channing Tatum was on the show, and Ellen kept forcing a porcelain doll into his face for a whole minute and telling him to kiss it, when he is SUPER scared of dolls ... he was smiling because he was on tv, but you could see that he had his eyes closed and was really scared. The Dakota Johnson visit was a train wreck. It deserves to be number one. The irony of it was the magnificent Christmas holiday decorations on stage, decorated for the benefit of the guests, home and studio audiences, imply cheerfulness, warmth and happiness. In the aftermath Dakota shown a still photo from the set could conceivably say, "Ellen, like Scrooge, made that 'the Christmas from hell' talk show segment."

People sometimes mock me when I correct them, double down, adamantly insist that they *will* mispronounce it, then continue about their merry way. Some of those people even go on to continually mock me when we meet again. Sometimes people will say, “no, I’m not going to pronounce it that way, you’re going to be (such as such pronunciation) from now on.” It doesn’t annoy me anymore.
