well in john wick's case it was the final gift from his departed wife, so his dog being shot holds more meaning than her dog being shot, by this point he pretty much lost everything that reminded him of his wife, he only now has strategically placed photos of her and his wedding ring, him being more pissed than Halle Berry is literally more understandable. however yeah it is kind of funny not saying it isn't but got to understand their positions at that point

My favorite scenes are when the action goes from 0 to 100 within seconds. For example the scene where John first enters the church and then suddenly shoots the pastor and a bunch of other people. Sure that wouldn’t fit most people’s definition of beast mode but for me it’s the sudden change in pace that makes it so awesome for me.

My favorite scenes in John Wick Chapter 2 weren’t necessarily John Wick in full beast mode. The first one was the scene with the sommelier. Watching Mr. Reeves handle weapons makes this Texas girl’s heart go pitter-pat. Especially the shotgun. I loved watching him quad-load that shotgun in the catacombs. My second favorite scene had to be in the bathroom with Gianna D’Antonio after she slits her wrists and steps into the bath. He holds her hand quite tenderly for friendship’s sake until she loses consciousness, then he shoots her in the head. My third favorite scene was the one-handed press check during the museum fight - what director Chad Stahelski referred to as the F-U chamber check. There’s just something about Keanu with firearms that makes me need a cold shower.

Left one small part out about Iosef's demise - John never said a word. Walked right up to him, shot him in the head once and walked away. He got the pleasantries out of the way on the prior phone call...."Everything has a price" (which itself was a reference to Iosef and John's first encounter at the gas station) Also, the "you can die screaming beside him" and the eventual escape should get at least an honorable mention, imo...he had some help, but he had to do a lot of work himself.

I think Keanu Reeves most reflects the old Hollywood stars of the 1930s and 40s...he has such a quiet demeanor and attitude of dignity about his private life, that it is easy to completely enjoy his roles, without thinking about his headlines in real life, or seeing him do something ridiculously stupid (like wearing a paper bag on his head a la Shia Lebeouf) at some Hollywood function. He just gives everyone a chance to immerse themselves in the movies and completely enjoy the experience. That is so rare today that it is almost unheard of. I noticed that Robert Downey Jr., after his many struggles with drug addiction, went quiet publicly, and worked ferociously to get back on top. It added much to his acting roles that there were no news stories about one thing or another in his private life. It helps an actor tremendously to keep their private life, well, private, and not detract from their work...just my opinion, I'm interested in what others think about that...
