Scar's death was definitely fitting for a villain of his status, in fact in many cases having a villain be batrayed and killed by his own former underlings is the best kind of karma there is...and i honestly don't blame the Hyenas for killing Scar i mean he was willing to throw them under the metaphorical bus and pin Mufasa's death on them just to save his own skin, i mean even if what some of Scar said was true he still betrayed them and in the end his betrayal of the hyenas lead to his demise.

@Jonathan Wolfe "you can easily see him finding his courage/seeking redemption in the end and backstabbing the bad guy, or maybe even sacrificing himself for O'Connell" Not really. Benny has been a backstabbing coward from the very first minute we see him. He abandoned O'Connell before, leaving him to die to save his own skin. He values his own life and well-being above anyone and anything else and he's willing to do whatever it takes to ensure it. Even his greed is highlighted as the only reason he was dragged into the desert was because the Americans only paid him half, which Benny laments to O'Connell who comments on it sarcastically, knowing exactly how Benny truly is. Some people just aren't prone to change no matter what, and Benny Gabor is an excellent example of it. His fate was a result of his own greed; he already had two loads on a camel and could have just left, but he had to get more, and even after he triggered the trap, he still could have escaped with the others hadn't he wasted time and effort in trying to drag the bag along with him.

Exactly! Thank you. He actually SPARED EVERY EXPENSE. If you've worked in consultancy or anything close, you'll know his pain. He was pitched a fixed amount for an undisclosed job. They didn't even tell him that it was on an island, much less one with dinosaurs. And that he was basically the entire IT department (along with Mr. Arnold). Again, for a dinosaur island. I'm not excusing what he did, because it was still heinous and moronic to endanger the lives of everyone including himself (since he was planning on coming back to the compound). But Hammond really shafted him with the pay for his work. And the movie tried to play him off as a grandfatherly figure, and paint Nedry as someone greedy. It still worked, but the "spared no expense..." every 10 minutes was just hogwash in hindsight.

Matt Damon plays the bad guy in this and gets what he deserves at the end. If you don't want a spoiler then don't read this part of the comment. Anyways here it goes. Matt Damon's character is extremely anti-Semitic while Brendan Fraser the main character plays a Jewish man and Matt Damon's character cheats at a test but everybody blames the Jew because it was a prejudice time back then but finally somebody actually stands up for what is right and points out the truth that it was in fact Matt Damon's character who cheated not the main character Brendan fraser. I believe in the book, Carter Burk actually gets cocooned in the hive and Riply finds him while rescuing Newt. He pleads for her to kill him " I can feel it moving inside me. "

Nedry was overworked and underpaid and saw an opportunity to screw over his employer and literally jump ship to their main competitor with the trade secrets in tow. He may have slightly overdone it but you can't say that many people in 2022 wouldn't emphasize with his situation.

@cazia92 жыл бұрын
It’s not made clear in the film but the ‘financial problems’ Hammond alludes to are the fact that Nedry has massive gambling debts so ‘underpaid’ is relative bc he needs to pay back the money and live on what’s left - hence John saying ‘I don’t blame people for their mistakes but I do ask that they pay for them’ , meaning Dennis needs to suffer the consequences of his actions/choices… Dennis being the slimy git he is views the betrayal of InGen and Hammond as nothing more than an easy ‘get rich quick’ means to an end so the fact he ends up Dilophosaurus chow is very satisfying to a lot of people
@anthonyjackson2802 жыл бұрын
@@cazia9 John Hammond in the film was almost opposite to the character as written. In the film he was a charming visionary who was overconfident in the tech he paid to have developed, and in the end saw the error of his ways (very 'Disney'). In the book he was predatory, deceitful and avaricious - almost a parody of 19th century robber barons.

Greg Lee from the movie "The Relic". For those who have never seen the movie, a monster called the Kothoga needs to eat a specific part of the human brain to survive. Greg Lee works at the Natural History Museum in Chicago where he is attempting to get a grant that Heroine Margo Green is also applying for. The museum is also where the killings happen. On the night of a Gala Opening for a new exhibit into the supernatural, Greg overhears Tom, one of the directors talking to a guard about locking down the labs. Margo is still in the labs but Greg lies and says it's completely empty. He later gets killed by the Kothoga.

Indeed, and i honestly don't blame the Hyenas for betraying Scar i mean he was willing to throw them under the bus just to save his own skin and so being batrayed and killed by his own underlings was the best kind of karma for Scar.

Ellis was not exactly a traitor. He had every chance to reveal the true identity of Miss Gennaro so she could be used against one certain cowboy right away. Instead of that he put himself in the line of fire. It makes him more ambivalent than being simply a traitor.

I think the Lion King might be the first movie I’ve ever seen where the bad guy gets his and I was so happy to see those hyenas smiling when they tore Scar apart at the end. I cried when Simba found Mufasa dead. Like a child. I think I was like 14 or something. Oh wait…Jurassic Park. I saw the rest after 14 (My parents wouldn’t let me see rates R movies until I was 16, but I sneaked in and saw Natural Born Killers. I wasn’t a liar, so after I told my mom (while she was cooking) she was like “well, you can see whatever the hell you want now-I just wanted to protect you” lol)
