The best list I've ever seen way better than Wacthmojos bland list. I loved that one episode were Optimus Prime played Basketball I really would love to see a cameo of that in future transformers installments like Cyberverse.

Great list, dude! No fans will ever have the exact same favorites order, so I like that you gave your reasons and showed the interesting clips. -While not my favorite, I still love Hoist for his loyal friendship with Grapple and his Hollywood episode. As a 4-Life nWo-ite, I love the connection, so I call him Hollywood Hoist. -Wheeljack as his own worst enemy never truly sold to me. I know that Spike mentioned the idea, and you even showed the proof clips, but to me these are minor compared to all his successful inventions and the positive impact they've had on the Autobots.

I definitely have to agree with you on a few of them. I know this probably sounds strange, and people are going to question "uh.. where were your grown ups??!" But seriously, Optimus is, in many ways, a mentor to me. I would write his words of wisdom in a notebook, and write how it related to my life. So, it goes without saying that Optimus is probably on a lot of people's top 10 lists. I agree with Ratchet, and definitely Wheeljack! Oh, and Jazz ranks up there for me as well. I also like Moist.. uh, I mean Hoist! My other favorites (in no particular order) are Hotrod & Kup, Goldbug, Skylynx, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker, Blur, and Cliffjumper. Thank you for a fun upload!

I really wish they'd revisit the more down to earth and human side of Optimus Prime that was brought to us by G1. It's not like I never liked his incarnations since then, but he's been really stoic for a lot of the Bay movies and the aligned continuity, and sooner or later I'm gonna hate the bastard. We do get glimpses of that, one that immediately comes to mind is in Rescue Bots of all things; he transformers into a dinobot, and Cody remarks that he's cool. Optimus goes on a bit of a ramble about scanning different forms, and then awkwardly asks, "Is that...cool?" Granted I haven't seen/read everything Optimus Prime, but it'd be nice to see this side of him again.

Great list and i think that Travis Knight did Optimus Prime a great favour to put a G1 looking squad in there and to give him the honor to put him on screen like that. The 2018 Optimus really reminds me of the original G1 Optimus Prime. Not you Bay! Optimus Prime, like Peter Cullen sad, need his own movie, directed by Travis Knight.

Originally In G1 animation in terms of number of Autobots had much more roster of robots than the decepticons. Decepticons had seeker clones and reflector (transforms into camera) clones.

I thought you'd like to hear from an "old-timer". I grew up in the 80s, and for me, Optimus and Jazz are DEFINITE favs. I like all the ones you mentioned too. I remember Huffer being my first toy (Gobots came out first and I mistook him for one until I realised there's a new robot gang on the block!) Windcharger holds a place for me because he was spotlighted early in the TF UK comic when he had to team up with Ravage to stop a mad Auntie (kind of the teletran-1 of the comic book). Prowl was cool-it's ironic that nowadays the police car is the bad guy! I liked Trailbreaker too. He was the biggest toy besides Prime (from 1984). There's just so many. I think you had a great list though-I'm not going to say anything you chose was "wrong"

imo as an 80's kid, the top ones are the ones that have barelly changed in 3 decades, at least the newest toys, such -beachcomber -soundwave -insecticons (kickback,sharpnel,bombshell) -grimlock and dinobots -metroplex -hunger all the other toys including optimus, dont look not even close to the original toys. and that is not bad, they are great right now, but had to get several revisions to get were they are.

Beach Comber and Hoist can go. If you are going to put anyone of the 2nd 1st gen Autobots on the list why not consider Blaster, Tracks, or PowerGlide. I love Hoist but its only because my mom bought me the toy for Christmas and it was one of the better made Transformers toys of that gen. (I had many) I respect your list however.
