Actually I loved Rachel's dress. In season 4 i think, there was an episode where Monica, Phoebe and Rachel are showed wearing bridal gowns to cheer themselves up, and Rachel uses the same dress shown on the pilots. She wears it without the headband and veil and she just looks beautiful.

For Betsy's Wedding, those aren't cowboy boots. Late 80's they were called Granny Boots and they were designed based on Victorian shoes. If you are going to comment on fashion even over the top horrible fashion, you should know what you are talking about.

I loved Betsy's whole look. It's not my thing and I wouldn't wear it myself, but it was as quirky as she was, which is the whole point of it. And yes, they're not "cowboy boots", they're Victorian boots, which were the height of Victorian fashion.

Yes!!! Thank you! Those are not cowboy boots, believe me I live in Texas. The whole look is a modern version of Victorian era and the granny boots sealed it. Therefore I loved it!! They didn't do their research on this one.

I loved the final dress from The Proposal. It was a great choice for a mature bride. I like that it wasn't white. This was not a normal situation and a white dress would have destroyed the moment. It was perfect for the character. I would totally wear that dress if I had her body. It gives class and maturity that a white or traditional dress never could.

The body was covered and hides imperfections of the body. It was to match the character, not the actress. It was understated, mature, and tasteful. I like it. If I am over 40 when I get married, I plan to take it on for inspiration.

Once they fitted it to her it was a very lovely gown. But Betty White's character says it's been in her family for over 150 years and that's just wrong. That would put it around 1870, which of course it is not. It looks like a bias cut 1930's gown.

While I am not a fan of 80s fashion, upon original airing of the Golden Girls they were considered quite trendy ( on an adult level) Yes, in our current time most people dislike most of that style but you can't say it was terrible fashion. It was good fashion that is now out dated.

The Rachel dress was wonderful! The veil was very 80s and too much, but the actual dress was lovely and still a modest amount of sexy with the portrait neckline and the tapered bodice was flattering to her figure while still having a traditional ball gown skirt. I think I'm such of your best/worst videos. Whomever does the choosing has issues.

Hey! My mom wore cowboy boots for her wedding and in the wedding pictures, it was clear she rocked them and the gown! It's also clear in the recording of the wedding and is a good thing she wore them since after she and my dad said I do they rode off on horseback (while leaving a couple months old me with the guests) during which my dad tried to jump off his horse and onto my moms and almost landed in a pile of horse crap which was hilarious. my point is that cowboy boots can be the kind of shoes to work at a wedding!

The problem with this list is that it really doesn't take the era or context of the wedding into account. Rachel's, Julia's and the mentioning of Cameron Diaz's Vegas dress are examples of this. Having said that, numbers 1 and 2 are absolutely worth their spots! 😂

Rachel's dress is gorgeous. It's just the veil that completely ruins it. If anything, Emily's wedding dress should've been in this list instead of Rachel. It was honestly a little unflattering to the wearer's figure, and the bolero jacket added on top only made it worse. Plus the lack of a veil really made it feel even more lacking as a wedding dress and just seemed more like just a dress

Ah, yes... the mullet dress: only appropriate if you're walking down the aisle to "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses. The wedding dress from Bridesmaids looks like a Flamenco dress designed by Charmin. Dorothy's ribbon embellishments look like those construction paper chains everyone has made in elementary school. Sandra Bullock's dress isn't so bad, once altered. It's a matter of appreciating the beauty of a vintage dress which goes against current trends. I like the Victorian era, so I can appreciate the dress without feeling some urge to turn it into something strapless and corseted, like so many other wedding dresses, out there. Sleeves and less skin in general have been making a bit of a comeback, too.
