Beautiful outdoor living spaces! I really love Lowe's too! Loved you mentioned about the floor vents, also they have really cool air conditioning vents too. So many great ideas to implement. Also I have cats and PetHouse wax melts are non toxic for pets. So many room fresheners (pretty much all of them) are toxic to animals. It can cause kidney and liver failure. But PetHouse is all non toxic (I've called poison control about them to make sure) they have room fresheners, wax melts, glass diffusers. (Regular diffusers that distribute a mist is extremely toxic to pets, just an FYI for people reading this) PetHouse actually removes all odors (pet odors) instead of masking odors. I've had many apartment inspections and when I started using PetHouse they tell me how nice my apartment smells. Anyway I always have to say something about toxins and pets I feel like a lot of people don't know this. I'm not affiliated with PetHouse, I just swear by them. I've used Wildflowers since I discovered them and it's a beautiful scent.

If you can't afford new floor vents, just spray painting them a flat black to make them look new helps a lot for older ones. Also spray painting any vents in the wall - air returns - a clean white or maybe match the walls?

Floor vents can be $50-80 or more (depending on size ). I wanted fancy ones to match and found quality was also low unless getting expensive ones. I stayed with box store metal. They were also stronger. Painting to match the floor or wall is key.

I've always enjoyed high-end mill work around doors, windows, crown molding, and cornices. I've installed a lot of miilwork in my home. Still not finished. The big project for 2024 is to put in custom-made cornices with copper stars on each one. This is all going to be done from scratch. My wife liked what you did with the walls with that wood trim. We'll be doing that was well. My inspiration comes from visiting the mansions in Newport RI. Keep up the good work. My wife and I enjoyed your POD.

Lots of great tips! (As usual.) I must say that a lot of people have allergies that cannot handle spray or candle scents. I have a couple of friends who have asked if I not use them before they arrive for a visit. There may be some friendlier sollutions for air fresheners on the market. Your advice for fresh air is good, and possibly warming some spice or fruit in water on the stove.

Kristen, encourage people to use a spray sealer over patio pieces; it helps repel rain which seeps into cracks and between the marble or mosaic top and the metal. Also the painted finishes are thin. I’ll respect then also seal before using.

Love you Kristen! Say, regarding the shower curtains. Love this idea. But if I were to put curtains to the ceiling the the shower curtain liner would be above the top of the tub. I'm wondering if they might carry extra-long shower curtain liners? If not, I suppose I could sew extra length using another liner...

I have bern doing the " Bathroom Curtains for DECADES.... I've used beautiful, washable real curtains/ drapes over a pretty cloth liber,that has another waterproof curtain behind it ,became it gives such a finished look ,no matter w h a t size of bathroom you have. I suppose I should have had a KZbin Channel wayyyy back then..... lol. . With all the Decor I've done for Decades .....

I hear you, as a fellow European US kitchens seem outdated compared to European ones. If the kitchen cabinets still work you could paint them (or have a professional paint them). A bit more expensive is to replace your countertops with something in a lighter color. A lower cost way to update a kitchen is to replace door knobs and pulls. Look for kitchen renovation youtube videos and you can get lots of ideas.

I use curtains, rather than shower curtains on the outside. The options for not just design but also the fabrication are limitless and the texture possibilities really kick it all up a notch. 😊

Oftentimes, the vent covers can't be found in the color of flooring. Solution: Spray paint them to match.

Room sprays and candle smells are all toxic for pets..they have very small lungs and it's not good for their health. Just open the windows for fresh air. Thanks for the video.

.... I often see Home Decor Channels talking about the " Essential Oils " , and other things that smell great, but some are Toxic to pets , while there are a few that are ok to use around some tyoes of pets .... Birds especially are highly sensitive to those items, and very few even MENTION those points.

I believe most essential oils are not good for pets. I used an orange citrus in my diffuser and I think It ultimately killed my cat.

Can you ever have too many vignette moments in one room? I struggle with having too many items when I’m trying to style each corner of a room or every surface area. I’ve tried taking a few things away but I’m still finding that repeating pattern of using say a vase with stems, books, lamp. Just feels too much. Does that makes sense 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️.
