Yes! My UTAU was literally a bored prodigy who used to be a human, but they then experimented with nanorobotics and became an immortal goop of nanobots shaped like her former human form. But hey, at least their hair can move on command now! 😂

Nice video but the Iku part is a bit wrong. Iku was created by a Company called StudioS in 2007 (so even before UTAU was publicly available). She was made for a Program called Maidloid (wich was made to look similiar to Vocaloid), wich had Moans and Moan-talking samples. and pretty much someone took those samples and put them into UTAU.

@@estahbear Well as the Comment above said, yes a Company made Acme Iku (not the UTAU voicebank tho) it's a Program you could buy (IDK if you still can). But Iku was never actually intended for singing (only after her VCV release last year (I think)). The Original Program was pretty much "a person you could choose which sounds should play after each other" (Including Moan and other sounds related to that) and I wouldn't really call it questionable. It is pretty much what is it. (and if you wonder why the company choose to do it, this company is "specialized" in this type of content)

The way I audibly said “oh no” when Iku Acme appeared on the screen😂 Like, some of the stuff they use her for is just torturous to listen to, especially Slashmaid. It sounds like you’re hearing private videos from a murderer or r*p1st with how brutal Acme’s sounds are, but I genuinely feel happy that some creators try to give her normal, wholesome songs as a way to sympathize with her

As someone whose seen a LOT of a anime, honestly? Iku's voice is pretty typical for hentai voice samples. Every hentai sounds like the poor girl is being tortured despite the opposite happening, usually. I agree! Though I also like when people take a more comedic approach to her voicebank too, like the old MMD dramas.

The real reason why Ruko’s voicebanks are based of Pikachu and Raichu is about her/his voice provider’s names which one of them is Hikachi Yuu and the other one is Raichi Yuu, I think Hikachi voices Ruko’s Female voice and Raichi does the male one, it’s okay if you already know and Ruko is allot like Ritsu since they’re gender is up to interpretations!

I was kinda expecting Namine Ritsu to be here, as I'd say he's an unusual one. He's a 6 year old crossdresser wish missiles implanted into his chest. He's also a bully. His favorite tactic is purple nurples. He hates Japan(he's a Japanese vb so i find that a bit odd) and loves Korea (dont remember whether it was south or noth) and his character item is a cabbage He doesn't really look 6 years old, he looks like a 15 year old in my opinion but he's one of my favorite UTAUs. His voicebank is beautiful and so is his design

The original script actually did include Ritsu! I later axed him because I wanted to explore more obscure and weirder voicebanks. The other thing is that I think Ritsu is supposed to be some sort of inside joke about something but I don't really understand what the joke is. I notice a lot of UTAU are written with weird inside jokes most people won't understand.

I know a lot of other people who think he's kind of odd though. I did find the more obscure vbs in the video to be interesting, especially Iku Iku completely caught me off guard honestly, I know Utaus can be weird but THAT wasn't something i would've thought of

One of my favourite weird voicebanks is Hatone Pijon. It's literally a pidgeon. As someone who has recently released a weird voicebank, I can say that there is a lot of appeal in making a weird voicebank. When you make it weird or cursed, it can be literally anything, and it doesn't have to sound good. It's also fun coming up with this crazy character and backstory to go with your questionable voicebank!

Those are some pretty odd Utau. But some can be very well done and creative. I also tried my hand in also created a CVVC Japanese Utau voice bank. A cute Ampwave by the name of CK9. And I was gonna plan to do a normal and falsetto voice within the same vocal range like Kokone. But since Utau can’t do that sort of thing to my knowledge. So the idea project fell through.

I think you've gotta imagine that the creation and discussion of utau VBs back in the day were on the equivalent of 4 chan now, often by a lot of right leaning fans. The jokes they made with characters were often deliberately offensive for the lols- remembering that this "humour" was more utilised then. there were even discussions if teto secretly being a cross dresser, with fanart that ages badly.

Ruko is intersex. It means Ruko has male and female parts. The issue comes in the interpretation and people tend to get sensitive over the topic of gender. In this case, kinda just feels like Ruko is intersex as shock value and to "be silly" rather than any semblance of representation.
