Her that plays Daisy is a shocker and she only gets away with it because she's pretty. In any scene she's in, she delivers her lines looking into space and never at the person she's talking to. I ADORE Jacob!! I wish they'd bring him back! He reminds me a lot of Graham with a bit of Lloyd thrown in! Jack Carroll is a comedian first and an actor second. Bobby and Jacob had the potential to become a new Steve & Lloyd and I thought Amy and Jacob were absolutely perfect together and could have been the new Jack & Vera. I haven't liked Simon since he was about 10. He and Blanche were comedy gold! I can't believe you didn't include Rosie Webster/Helen Flanagan! Horrid character portrayed by a talentless actress. I was very happy to see the back of her and I cringe every time the rumours start up again that she's coming back to Corrie. This could easily be a Top 20 list. Please do a part 2!

I think the reason why Paddy won the newcomer/ rising star NTA was because there were two Heartstopper actors nominated (Joe Locke & Kit Connor) and thus fans of Heartstopper had their votes split between both Joe and Kit. Coronation Street fans or casual viewers only had Paddy to vote for in that category so that’s why he amassed the most votes

Paddy Bever always seemed pretty good to me, but maybe I'm the only one who can see that. Why on earth is Simon Gregson not on this list though? He CAN act, he just doesn't most of the time, he just pulls silly facial expressions and puts on a childlike voice. Jimmi Harkishin is another one (even though Dev unintentionally amuses me). And I always thought whoever plays Ed Bailey is worse than Michael. It does seem pretty unfair to pick on the kids, most of whom are starting out in the industry. Bit mean-spirited. Have to say this video left me cold.

Agree with that..her modern incarnation is unpleasant and irritating as if having had a lobotomy. Mind you I felt the same about the new Todd Grimshaw with a new actor..a previously gentle and nice character became a scheming git overnight. However, he's mellowed and gone back to more like Todd used to be so maybe 'Bethany' will, although not at the moment!

It's a mix of bad acting, bad writing and bad directing. Corrie dates back to 1960 and for decades had the best actors and showed what life was really like, slanging matches, people working day jobs, real struggles and now it's weak and holds no substance. It truly is one of the worst things on British telly today. I'd personally have a different list for bad actors but then again they all seem bad nowadays.

I have just started to watch this about 6 weeks ago. I am 61 and had to retire due to health problems. There are lots I think can't act but the 3 I can't stand are Sally, Leanne, can't name the other one but she is the mother of the kid who took the medication.

British soap operas seem like they tend to cast child actors based more on appearances than actual talent. They want a child who "looks the part". That being said, they are children, many forced into it by parents who want to profit off of them. They can improve over time. Criticize them if they don't as they get older.

I'm sorry but the Mary character should've been no 1. I've seen a clip of her acting on KZbin once and it was so bad I couldn't watch anymore. Even if it was meant to be a comedic scene, it was delivered so poorly. I've stopped watching corrie on TV for many years now cuz of the bad writing and acting, but I still remember cringing at Mary when I did watch it. It's a shame cuz I bet she's a lovely person in real life. I just think she better suits comedy if she really wants to pursue an acting career. As for the child actors, give them a chance as they're only young. Their acting skills won't be the best cuz they're starting out. I'd list adult actors, not child ones. In some cases, it's not really the actors' fault. The actor who played Jack was great when Jack was a kid, but the sight of Jack in primary school uniform looking and sounding like a grown man was terrible - but it wasn't the actor's fault. It's a race against time when it comes to child actors, who often outgrow their characters too quickly. Similarly, the actor who plays Craig isn't really at fault either. Craig was great as a child character; he was particularly good in the storyline involving Faye's teenage pregnancy (2015). However, he did not blossom into an adult character. He should really have been written out of the show, but he wasn't; instead, he became the annoying cop who only shows up in crime scenes involving other characters. I don't think the actor is to blame; it's just the way things turned out.

I agree with all of these, except for Sean, Simon, Fiz, Craig and Max. Michael isn't great either but I wouldn't call him a bad actor. In his place I'd put Nathan Graham, who played Michael's brother James. He truly was a terrible actor and I was glad when he finally left the show 😂 I'm seeing a lot of comments saying how criticising "kids" is mean spirited. I'm only seeing one kid on this list, Kyran Bowes who plays Jack. The character is 14, but the actor is 17, so he's not a kid either 😅

My top ten worst is: 10. Sean - I saw how he struggled to be emotional during the Dylan bullying storyline 9. Bethany - I just can’t take her character seriously and I also think she looks too old to play Bethany now. 8. Gemma - She is just baad, sometimes I think oh she’s doing alright but then she reverts back to her terrible acting ways. 7. Glenda - she just can’t be taken seriously and her latest storyline shows. Also an irrelevant character. 6. Max - he just struggles too much to be taken seriously and fumbles quite often. 5. Summer - she is just awful and boring. 4. Brian - thought he was terrible in his first stint on the cobbles and wondered why they brought him back. He’s still terrible, got nowt on Norris. 3. Bobby - awful! awful! awful! 2.Michael - his acting is awful and when he’s given serious storylines I can’t take him seriously. He struggles to get his emotion to show. 1. Ed - awful, one of the worst actors I’ve ever seen in any soap.

British kids on the whole are shockingly bad actors. American kids are incredible - I've never understood why English kids can't act.

The actors aren’t always the issue, most of the characters are now shells of their original characters. And I blame the writers as the soap is now rubbish. The dialogue is awful. The 2 worst actors in the soap currently are the actors who play Paul and Bobby. Ever since they started they weren’t good. New actors seem like diversity hires and don’t have much of a character outside of their obvious characteristic that is normally used to spread some sort of awareness or fill a diversity quota and that’s something I think is ignorant by the writers of coronation street as they don’t make these actors seem believable or realistic.

Wow this feels a bit mean. Most of them only get their lines the night before and very little rehearsal time at least. They dont exactly get the time for take after take or time to work on their scenes like actors in movies or theatre.

Wasn't surprised with some of the chactors the one who got me everytime on screen was colson smith as graig tinkeri never saw as acop would have been written in as a social worker if he was going to arrest me I would have laughed an said your joking as for the rest well what can I say but agree

Oldham’s actors are too good for the street. Sarah Lancashire, Siobhan Finneran and Surane Jones were all on it and look at them now.
