I don't know what the worst collaboration in rock sounds like but I do know what sacrilege sounds like, and not acknowledging Into the Spiderverse as our lord and savior certainly tops the list. Only pagans continue to worship the old gods of Raimi and McGuire over the true creator of the universe Spider-Ham! May Peter Porker have mercy on your heathen soul, Heretic! (In all seriousness, great vid as always and Crash's Josey Scott impression was priceless)

@Sydoku4 жыл бұрын
Linda McCartney played a huge part creatively in RAM, which imo, is Paul’s solo masterpiece. Linda was also an incredibly prolific and talented photographer, her book of portraits of the sixties is breathtaking. Yoko Ono was an established artist before John, and a successful poet. She is hit or miss musically, but look up Season of Glass. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking. Her physical art installations were also humorous and engaging. Cher has had a number one hit in several decades, which is a pretty spectacular and uncommon feat. She’s a style icon and a hell of a showman. Paul, John and Greg were likely attracted to them in part for their artistic abilities. You’re entitled to your opinion but it seems you might just have a problem with women.

I was front & center in the pit at that Incubus concert you showed footage of. They might have changed their sound, but I will forever love Incubus. And if you want Kilmore back on the ones & two & a killer experience, almost on a spiritual level, go see them live. I have yet to miss a tour since 95'.

"Rock Show" by Run DMC feat. Stephen Jenkins could have been a dishonorable, because seems a rock-influenced track than a rap-rock one. Also, it's a "I'm-cool-as-hell-and-I-Preach-that" song, the lyrics are a bit cringe.

Pretty stoked when I saw Crash Thompson had the album cover for "The Everglow" by Mae hanging on the wall. I happen to know a couple guys in that band and that album, even without the personal connection, is one of my favorites of all time.

Even tho Hero is a bad song, there was a little bit of good in terms of collaboration. Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden played drums on the recording of the song. But he wasn't in the video, and who would want to be

Man I enjoyed listening to the Lou reed/Metallica stuff. Almost not as just music but a sort-of artistic experience. It wasn’t super good, but I got what they were going for and didn’t hate it or anything. I mean if you’ve listened to a lot of Lou reeds stuff it has the same idea. Kinda like noise music. It’s the “modern artist throws paint at a wall of music” it may not be catchy but it evokes emotions, negative or positive. If you aren’t looking for negative emotions it’s not for you. No biggie.
@woofspider3302 жыл бұрын
I think this may be a similar think that Kirk Hammett was going for on his solo album. Instead of a genre, he calls it an "Audio cinematic experience." Which fits really well. It's cool, blending the modern classical ideas with heavy electric guitar

Despite being a diehard Incubus fan for almost a decade, I had never heard of the weird collaboration on "Still Not a Player" until I watched this video today. And after listening to it, I can agree with you that it is indeed like "peant butter and ketchup". It just feels weird, unnatural, and uncomfortable, as if it was forced...the sounds are chaotic and clash like crazy. The only thing that really made sense, at least to me, was Kilmore's DJing and turntable scratching. Everything else was like oil and water, and yes that reference was totally intended.

not sure if I should thank or curse you for giving me the knowledge of Feldman and Durst collaborating. It was funny, but wow, I thought that Corey would use his unique voice to bring some kind of interesting sound... I honestly think Stone Cold singing kumbaya was better
